Hope all will be well with your uncle, QF WP, and that any predisposition does not show up in your Dad as well.

Haven't heard how he is yet - my aunt will call my dad at some stage.

Already has Katie :(, so I'm a bit unhappy about that genetic link and my future prospects. At least I have hair (and my mothers good look) :D

Mrs Rugby and I are following in the footsteps of the AKL dinner crew and had lunch at Euro in AKL today. A beautiful sunny day and the food was excellent - bluff oysters for the two of us followed by the lamb rack for me and Akaroa salmon for Mrs Rugby. A great lunch.

And congrats to Sam on his new Mod helmet.

Congratulations samh004!

On becoming a moderator??
I noticed the change from Social Ambassador this morning, but did not have time to ask.

Seriously, congratulations samh004 - a bestowal most deserved.

Whoops! During lunch at Euro in AKL today I asked the waiter where the men's room was, "go back towards the entrance, turn right etc etc". After my second visit I said to Mrs Rugby that i don't like these unisex bathrooms as I had to queue up waiting forever. She advised me that they didn't have unisex bathrooms and that I should take the second right, not the first  FWIW the ladies was much cleaner than the blokes.

How did you not realise let alone where were the flurry of screeches that would have indicated your error in a most embarrassing manner?

The door was ajar, and facing the other way, so when I went in the ladies symbol was not really apparent. That's my story and I'm sticking with it :) but not one of the women said anything, and I went in there twice! Idiot :)

Please excuse me while I continue laughing :D

Well some positive news about my uncle. Seems he came through the operation better than expected and was only in ICU for 24 hours - now resting comfortably in his own (private) room. Still no visitors apart from my aunt. My dad is relieved (no pun intended  ) but I'll bet he is back to his doctor very soon for more blood tests
