I hope 3/4G doesn't send you broke! That is a bit ludicrous not allowing you and others to tap into that fibre. That fibre would only be used for 6 to 8 hours a day during school days, so more then half the time the fibre is not utilised during the year. .

And to add insult to injury, the school only has 5 pupils this year. It's a 1 teacher K-6. Though had around 18 students when my kids attended.

Currently in Malaysian Airlines Lounge at KUL - Meant to be their flagship lounge.

Showers have no hot water, and an adaptor is needed to use power points as they're local points. Except no adaptors have been available for 3 hours.

Hoping I can charge on the flight!

Got a call from NSW police and my stolen iPad is held for pick up. It made its way from the city almost to Cronulla. So I will get it back next week when I am back in Sydney and it is a big relief.
I used an AFFer to get a discounted replacement and I was really happy with that.

Assume you're in the main lounge?

Sure am, and still no adaptor.

Flying J in an hour but no adaptors for ~3hours? Not a good look.

Take the train to the main terminal, turn right and head up to the regional lounge. Much better place to be. You will be there in less than 10 mins. They may have hot water and adaptor there. Or have you been there already?

Welcome from Nordkapp. They close a school here last year that had 2 pupils and 3 teachers-all from the same family.

Bugger, I follow four teams and all four lost, not a good weekend.

Only upside is that the tahs lost as well.

I quite like the rainbow option on Facebook so my normal Maldives beach avatar looks like this:

In my situation, they remediated the telephone pits in my area and were about to lay down fibre and all of a sudden they stopped. NBN even designated my area as for FTTP. Now no idea. Other parts of my suburb and surrounds got it down last week. They even worked on Saturday and Sunday to get some properties connected. Seeing that FTTN and HFC have not been fully tested we can't be sure when will get nbn of any type.

I have a holiday rental place up the east coast in Tas at a very popular tourist destination. I and half the town can't get ADSL of any type due to being wired up as a 'spiders web' - the places don't have a 'pair' but a 'common return'.

Therefore only option to provide guests Wi-Fi is 3/4G and other than installing expensive data limiting software and hardware that's not anywhere near economical.

So - happy days - we are told NBN is shortly to build 2 'Fixed wireless' towers to service the village I'm in and the village next door.

Village next door has full ADSL2 availability, and the NBN tower there is under construction (win-win), but not the nearby tower that would service my place and all the other places and businesses nearby, who can't get ADSL (lose-lose). I'm trying to get info on why the tower for our town isn't being built at the same time and what the status of this service is: delayed, awaiting permits ... anything. This has been met with a dazzling display of evasive words from NBN PR people worthy of the best of Yes Minister. The NBN e-mail address [email protected] is possibly the most mis-named e-mail address in the country.

NBN is a big joke, the suburbs that need it aren't getting it, my speeds are at the low end of ADSL 1 and no plans to roll out in my suburb till after 2017. For the record I live metro Perth, 15 minutes out of the city in a land division <10 years old

Wow, you have a date! I live about the same distance from Adelaide CBD and nada.
