Bundy Bear do you think Carlton are tanking or are they just pretty ordinary?

Hard to tell, one spectator comment I heard was that Brisbane were actually marking the ball and passing like they used to 10 years ago, but part of that could be the pressure the other team is putting on the opposition.

Brisbane got a jump at the start then Carlton came back and then Brisbane finally got going, a match can be a blow out depending on how much effort you put into playing which is slightly different to skill level, a few passes did go astray from both teams but Brisbane applied more pressure so when they had the ball they were able to do something with it.

The Western Derby is on this afternoon so that will be one to watch. 1st play 2nd.

He was definitely on his feet to start. But he still hadn't got the ball out when his left knee was on the ground/another player. He wasn't supporting his weight when he finally removed the ball.

Not saying that lost the game, but it is one of a number of small turning points.

Just watched it again. His left knee does hit Hooper (the ball carrier) who along with Toomua are illegally holding on still.

Pity Ben Smith wasn't binned for that tackle on Ashley-Cooper ... what did the ref say "mistimed" hahaha, Quade should've used that excuse.

I'm not saying the wallabies shouldn't have been pinged for holding on. As soon as he was off his feet he is supposed to let go, just the same as for the wallabies. The consequence of the wallabies infringement is a penalty kick and line out around half way. The consequence of the all black infringement is a try. The Blacks were always going to win, I just question how they won.

Exactly, he took him beyond 90 degrees. should have been sent off.

Starting to echo Monty Python...

We had a crystal set in our Peugeot 203!

I knewa couple of guys with 203s - they wuz luxury

Mine was a baby-sh!! brown '68 404 - it was luxury: blue window tint and an under dash aircon which worked!!!
No radio though and never got around to putting one in…"None of us wuz driving officer, we wuz ALL in the back, singing!"

Not arguing with that. It's a line ball call both ways and it happened quickly. It's something that get's missed 60 times a game, All Blacks were good enough to make it count.

When i learned to drive intention to turn right required stretched hand/arm out the window. A stop required hand out with arm upright. No air con in car those days.

Just think.... in 30 years time, I may be saying similar "When I learned to drive we had to use these storks on the side of the steering wheel to indicate left / right. Such effort!" ;)

Some on AFF would have seen this for signaling

Excellent! Was just about to look for picture of those semaphores. Parents had a Morris Oxford with those modern devices which meant you didn't have to put your arm out. Actually I seem to remember in Brisbane they weren't accepted as turn signals and legally you still had to put your arm out. (Maybe we still do! Still see people driving in Brisbane holding the rhs door closed with their arm.)

 I've seen storks on top of cars, but not attached to the steering wheel!

Paging Pushka to the white courtesy phone.

I just heard you! :D Havent checked this thread in a while due to travel and precious internet time.

I bought one of the clip ons in Bangkok! It was quite effective but takes a while to get the focus right.

First tries here. One with normal phone and two on different zooms.
