No internet for 48 hours thanks to the Authorities in Santiago De Cuba.
Catching up.

Not good to forget the wifes birthday? It's not that I'd forgotten but just did't remember it early enough in the day. Luckily she already had the card and present last month. ;)

Still it's going to cost me a pizza next trip. :p

Venting. For the last 2 weeks our business office is having new airconditioning installed. What was supposed to take four days. They delayed the start because of <mumblings mumblings delay mumblings>. One of the people in our office gave them our wifi password  and for the first week one of them set up in one of our offices - and conducted his "office" work there. They take chairs out of other offices for their lunch time talkies. No permission asked. That last well over an hour. They talk, loudly, throughout the office. It is hot here. I am so over it.

I'm hoping they're using a Guest network and not your Corp one

Nope . That part is our fault, and the person who did that must have had a complete brain fade - they are usually the ones cough about protocols and security.

Have some fun with them..... block the MAC address ;)

Bush Fires showing up in the BOM Melbourne radar.
One of my staff have a property in the path of the fire NW of Lancefield. They evacuated early and we currently have two cats, three dogs, four chooks and two sheep in the clinic. At last report, the fire was approximately 500m from their property and heading towards it because of the wind change.

Hope they (and their property) are okay. Sounds like they did the right thing in getting out early.

We had some decisions about which roads to take on the drive back from Wodonga this afternoon due to the multiple fires about.

Oh I hope everything is okay for them! But at least they got the important things (the animals) out. *fingers crossed*

I think the broader question is really how they expect to "fill up" on a Tuesday night unless they are a poorly disguised money laundering pit for drug money.

After looking at the time stamp I have to ask you what were you doing awake posting at 1:57am.

Brisbane weather is just not doing it for me; I am now sick for the 4th time this year; in 2 years in WA I think I was off work for a total of 2 days now back in Brisbane I have been off work for over a week.

Maybe the work is stressing me out; I don't know, we moved offices last week, to something smaller and we already got through 4 15sqm metre skips; so much stuff we had to throw out.

Someone thought the calls should be sent to my mobile; as the internet and phone system is not operating at our new address.

Well someone else can deal with the stress today I will go back to bed, might be a chance to catch up with JohnM's trip report this afternoon.

You've had some bad luck?

Sitting in the office and I see the majority of people wearing just t-shirts or dress shirts. Dress for comfort ignoring the aircon? I am wearing a jacket on top of my shirt and singlet. I am not uncomfortable. I don't get colds/flus that often. The flu vaccine probably helps as well.
