Waiting in the PER Qantas lounge for my 2:30pm PER-SYD flight and bar does not open until 2:00pm. :( Another great decision by Qantas.

Not as bad as the passengers still waiting to depart on the 6:10am PER-MEL flight....

Bet that would = a few unhappy people, as they'll have missed the Grand Final parade.

Is your flight on time at least?

Good news, you have EBH an internationally configured 332.

The main difference for you is that you will have PIFE with (new) AVOD, rather than main screen.

cheers

The PER-MEL flight is in final stages of boarding. You got to feel sorry for all the passengers waiting to get to MEL since early this morning. So far my flight is on time but anything can happen in an hour.

Not a uniquely Perth thing.
I wasn't knocking PER. I am extremely tired, bored and wanted a drink or two. The bar downstairs is not exactly the cheapest place to have a drink.

If the bar in the Qantas lounge opens at 2:00pm then this should just about give me enough time for a couple of drinks before 2:10pm boarding although I am not sure I can stay awake much longer.

And if your flight is delayed for long enough, I can head up to the QP for some Friday-after-work-drinks :D

Sounds like a plan if my usual luck with QF continues.

I must say though that my 13 flights so far on this trip have been on time and apart from the service on the first flight the rest have been very good.

Time to go and check the temperature of the beer fridge in the PER Qantas lounge....

THere is much to complain about PER but the bar is not one of them.

(Last week when I was there there were only 3 quick check kiosks and only 2 of them were actually working)

You must have been hanging out for a drink; 1:57PM and you head to the bar. ;)

It will be interesting to get your quick review of the flights; how was LHR and LHR T5.

It's always Beer'o'clock somewhere in the world.

I'm looking forward to polishing off some of the 1999/2000 Bollinger in Galleries First tomorrow as well as trying their new champagne bar menu - prawns, salmon, crayfish tails -- if it's still offered. Some posts at FT say it turned up for a few days trial and disappeared.

And all I've got tonight is JQ791 MCY-SYD.No lounges up here.I'll catch up again sunday.

Forgot to post this the other day - but the Hungarian goulash they serve for dinner at the SYD QF domestic J lounge is yummy! Glides down so well alongside the fine choice of pinot noir (Stonewellers' 2008).

I've got an interview tomorrow so have to be bright eyed and bushy tailed for it.

Well I narrowly missed out on this role unfortunately. Gives me more time to travel around Europe + UK, while I wait for the next opportunity.

Sorry to hear it Mal, but there is always a better opportunity just around the corner!
