My neighbour asked to trim branches from my 40yo elm tree hanging over his fence to which I agreed. I came out 30 mins later to find he'd jumped the fence and cut down probably 50% of the canopy including large branches 2-3m inside our fence line.

Not happy.

Plus as the tree was north to him, he now has the full force of sun beating down on his previously shaded patio and lounge room.

I would be ropeable, and consider reporting it.
My neighbour once asked to trim some branches over their carport. Where I once had a 10m+ tree, I now have a dead 50cm stump. And they left all the mess for me to dispose of.

Here Maps have camera warnings plus speed limit for road you're on. At least, Here has them in Melbourne.

I just checked my phone and can't see cameras on the maps. My old nokia still has the speed/red light cameras.

My gardening leave lasted one day. Wasn't expecting the HR type wheels to go fast this time of year but they have.

Just catching up with the thread (and life and other stuff) after an interesting few days.

Our hearts go out to Pushka.

So this week I sandwiched a colonoscopy around client meetings and and a heap of research. Everyone on my team knows how much fun the preparation days aren't, there was much joking and commiseration. And there were a few people who said "nope, not doing that". But seriously, it wasn't that bad (my third), there's a family history, they picked up a few lovely polyps on my first time round, and this time I have a clean bill of health. Don't come back for five years.

Next day (ie, yesterday) we got word that one of our closest friends has died from colon cancer.

So my message to anyone who will listen is: this is largely preventable. No matter how coughpy you think the preparation is (or no matter what you've have heard), it doesn't hurt and it's so much less annoying than having to treat a cancer.

Yep, well done, totally agree. I'm overdue (mid 50's, +5 years since last one) but my GP is strangely a bit reticent to open the gate for me to have the next one. I know there is a case for not doing something non essential where there is a risk of injury (and there is a risk, I know), but my suspicion (only) is that there is a 'bad apple' in the local surgeon community (its small) and my GP is being a bit protective.

Must press the case on my next visit.

When you mentioned Blade, I really my thoughts were with a propeller blade..... I mean there design is important makes © the plane more efficient in flying.

Without risk factors you shouldn't be having one anyway, just 2 yearly FOBTs (stool blood test).
