Australia's Top 25 beaches: This should get the Sandgropers howling. Clearly nobody at TA has ever been to Squeaky Bay at the Prom

I think the fact that they have "Wineglass Bay lookout" (without a beach in sight) in there tells you all you have to know about this "Top" list!

If the lookout is #11, then Wineglass Bay beach itself would rank about #3 I guess - which was where it polled in some magazine's 'top 10 beaches in the world'.

Would like to see their definition of a good beach - Cable Beach - views yes, no you cant swim safely crocs, stingers etc

Exactly - Cable Beach is utterly underwhelming as a beach of soft white sand and for swimming.

How come we don't have this holiday in Australia

National-Drink-Wine-Day-1024x512.jpg

Since I have retired, I make a point of celebrating this occasion every day. Feb 18 is just a coincidence.

The religious zealots started their spiel and were upset when I told them to stop and pointed out the 'do not knock' sign which is very obvious on the front door. Their excuse was that they weren't selling anything.

What besides religion? Or are they saying that their religion is nothing? Not a good way to try to convert people.

I have heard of people living in a share house in central queensland, possibly a mining town, who would answer the day with a rifle pointed at the religion pedlars and start counting down from 10. I've also heard of Jehovah witnesses that spent months having a weekly cup of tea with some nice ladies living in Yeppoon. When they eventually asked them to come to church the nice ladies had to tell them that the building was a convent.

Mmmm. Still an option. Vascular surgeons involved. Depending on how the clexane works.
The cause of it is what is the issue. They need to find that out. Could be a range of things.
The thing is this year I hit a big birthday. And was having that day in Glacier Bay.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and good results from the tests.

Couple of AFL matters - firstly Eddie McGuire the Collingwood President this morning unveiled Collingwood's alternative strip for season 2016:

And a bit of info on The Footy Show stoush - story relayed to me last night from a source which is 200% accurate that Sam Newman phoned Channel 9 early this week and stated that Lyon had broken rule 101 and that Channel 9 had until COB on that day to drop him from The Footy Show or both Brownless and himself walk. Needless to say Channel 9 followed this course of action.

Is it meant to represent people behind bars?

With the triangle thing. Was the affair started before or after the marriage breakdown? I've heard both. Makes a big difference ethically.
But pretty sure whichever way it isn't a sackable reason.

What annoys me about Eddies away strip stance, is the potential away strip could reap them millions each year. Geez look at the top Football teams in Europe, they make tens of millions on their 2nd and 3rd strips.

If Sam and Billy walked, that could be a breach of contract.

Sam's interview on the 7 news was a classic.Ended with him asking the reporter-"have 7 got a compere they could lend us for a couple of months?"

Well, back into that uni coursework frame of mind.

One of my courses hasn't wasted any time. Assessment tasks are up, discussion board is set up (we have to introduce ourselves, including describing why we want to teach maths), we need to read two chapters of the prescribed textbook by Tuesday's workshop, and because the current Maths syllabus requires the kids to provide and use a graphics calculator, we have to get/hire one and know how to use it, too.

At high school my maths teacher was the go to guy for the cane.We got along famously but on a couple of occasions I was sent along for "treatment".he would use that silly line-this is going to hurt me more than you.Oh no it doesn't!

How times change...

Nowadays teachers can't touch students at all...
Parents attack teachers for not giving their kids better marks (irrespective of the child's ability or engagement with the coursework).
Kids are too busy sending naked selfies, playing video games, and taking drugs to care about parents or teachers.

But rest assured - When world war 3 starts our kids have excellent hand eye co-ordination and are ready to swap that virtual gun for a real one. They are ready and willing to take drugs & stay up all night to defend us from the infidels. All they ask in return is a $300K per year government handout for the rest of their life.

Bravo - the next generation will keep us secure for years to come.

Okay slightly melodramatic... but also dangerously "slightly true"
