Our foreign minister was on television the other night - said Lebanon is not a party to whatever the international convention is about this (recognising parental custody).

Just like the great thing about Standards, international conventions are excellent. There's so many to choose from.

Why do experienced posters struggle to place a thread in the right forum?

Ask about a lounge then either put the thread in the relevant airlines FF forum or the Airport lounges forum.

Ask about a destination then put the thread in the Destination Guide.

Ask about Qantas then put the thread in the Qantas forum.

Sometimes search does not work well and would be nice to find the desired thread when searching the relevant forum.

For my 1,000th post in this thread I thought I would raise a serious issue.


Barbecue Shapes have had a recipe 'enhancement' and they now taste awful!

The box says 'Now with more flavour'. But I found they had much less and no more flavour crumbs to lick out of the bag.


Total fail by the manufacturer and I won't be buying them again unless they revert to the previous recipe.

However, take Qantas questions. The separate forum area is call "Qantas Frequent flyer" not Qantas. While any Qantas related question will be answered, technically, by title, only question about QFF should be in there.

Originally the factory that produced shapes was in Melbourne. I can't remember the year but it was a few years ago. I remember Dave Hughes complain about it on Nova. I suspect the latest change would have been due to food technologists/and or production management for whatever reason wanting a change. Could be costs or could be trying to accommodate newly arrived palates/export market?

This saddens me. About 10 years ago the amount of flavour on the shapes decreased and they were generally less tasty anyway. Guess I'll have to find a box of the new stuff to find out how bad things have really become.

If you listen to the media, awful. I bought a box pre change in Australia and sighed that they were so poor quality. Sad they've gotten worse. Looks like the bean counters and health nuts have won.

Was never hooked on Barbecue Shapes fortunately. I was hooked on coffee and then Diet Coke and have been off both since 1994. Twenty two years without that caffeine coughtail has worked out nicely.
