I wish my parents had spent their money on themselves. They have bailed me out of serious financial trouble on more than occasion and I feel extremely guilty. They are the ones that worked hard and saved and I am the dope.

I am the stage in life where I do not care much about inheritance and would rather have my parents around for at least 30+ years. Perhaps I am being selfish and I am asking for too much....

That could work but I am not a huge fan of drinking(lots) at home and then stumbling out on the town.

I think it will be another NYE at home.

Trying to get enough people to go to a drinking place in the city on NYE is pretty difficult, otherwise that's what I'd like to do. I don't mind the fact that the city will be teeming with people (drunk or otherwise), the hubbub will be noisier than an airport full of stranded pax and getting home will involve jockeying for a position on the late service buses (where there is no concept of lines).
