Aaah, the life of advanced estate planning, spending it before you get left it in her Will.

If you don't try and spend some of your parents money while you are still living with them; then your parents might go and spend it all on themselves. :p

I wish my parents had spent their money on themselves. They have bailed me out of serious financial trouble on more than occasion and I feel extremely guilty. They are the ones that worked hard and saved and I am the dope. :(

I am the stage in life where I do not care much about inheritance and would rather have my parents around for at least 30+ years. Perhaps I am being selfish and I am asking for too much....

Don't be so hard on yourself; I think our parents want the best life that they can give to their sons and daughters, which applies to everyone.

More importantly what am I going to do for New Years Eve.

Just got home from work, only 11 hours today not too bad  the joys of a new business.

Time to kick back, relax and enjoy a beer me thinks..

I think it will be another NYE at home.

Trying to get enough people to go to a drinking place in the city on NYE is pretty difficult, otherwise that's what I'd like to do. I don't mind the fact that the city will be teeming with people (drunk or otherwise), the hubbub will be noisier than an airport full of stranded pax and getting home will involve jockeying for a position on the late service buses (where there is no concept of lines).

Really feeling the lack of skin near my elbow now from diving to the crease at backyard cricket. Really wish I’d just been out now ;)

Luckily this day holds nothing to do, unless my mum remembers there are sales on

Hmm, Mrs NM left for the sales around 7:30am. Still not home 4.5 hours later. Its a goof thing she took the small car and not the b*s! At least her purchasing power is limited by the carrying capacity of a Corolla .

Never underestimate the carrying capacity of a small vehicle in the charge of a determined female bargain hunter.

Murphy again: "The capacity of a Corolla driven by a bargain hunting woman is inversely proportional to the capacity of the husband's wallet"

"A good husband is one who can earn more money than his wife can spend." :) :D

I'm not quoting Murphy there.

It seems serfty may have been shopping at JB Hifi if the ad I just saw on TV is anything to go by

On a unrelated but slightly humorous note if you look at the URL for this thread you'll see Qantas is referred to as Qantcough
