Re: QANTAS's domestic sale(s)

It seems serfty may have been shopping at JB Hifi if the ad I just saw on TV is anything to go by  ...
Actually, it was D!ck Smith. Not going near a JB cheapie for such a purchase.

Earned 1500 MR via Amex and 949 QFF via EDR as well. :D

DSE do have a 14 day return policy for change of mind, probably worth looking at it for the price difference.

Last boxing day I foolishly let my girlfriend use my Hilux to drive down to Melbourne for the sales -needless to say I didn't see her for three days until she returned with the vehicle loaded with a new lounge suite,a flat screen tv,more shoes than she could ever wear (or so I thought !) various kitchen appliances and a set of golf clubs for me (I don't play golf),along with credit card vouchers for more than $3000.00.
This year she didn't go anywhere near the Hilux-she didn't need to-she flew to Sydney instead.
Oh how I am dreading her return on Monday,my only hope is that the excess baggage charges on Qantaslink will have been in the back of her mind.

And she is still your girlfriend?

The SQ flight on the A380 last night was very ordinary but I do have to say that the service was great and the company (older female lawyer from Cooma) was great. We had many wines together and interesting converation but the problem was I had way to many beers before and after the flight and also way too many vodka and oranges during the flight.

I think I am extremely hungover this morning (and I think I still have all my money for the holiday with me (How lucky is all that?)) and lucky I asked my parents to call me this morning as there was no way I was going to wake up after an evening in Geylang.

Sitting in QF lounge in SIN now waiting for SQ flight to BKK and when I handed over the green SQ boarding pass the person remembered from a past visit. He said "You have a Platinum card don't you?". I said "Yes" and he said he remembers my name from previous visits and did not even want to see my Platinum card.

I wonder if the if the cans of Carlsberg and Tiger are going to help my hangover? Time to get the Skytrain from T1 to T3 and then from T3 to T2. Why go direct when you can connect?

Sounds like our Boxing Day except we did it all in one day...:p Albeit from 7am to 7pm - the traditional annual family shopathon. Mind you an hour of this was spent trying to find parking at Chadstone - overrated place IMO, all the right stores but v small range cf stores on Collins St, we had to have half the stuff we wanted on hold at the city stores.

Now to hunt for a shoe rack...

Don't drink simple solution; you might need a clear head for all the flying you are going to do in the next few days.

And you only connect if its going to get you more frequent flier points otherwise you are just wasting your time;

What's the cost of chartering a freighter these days?

I am tired and no longer in the mood for status runs. I have a feeling I was wandering corridors again at the hotel early this morning as I think I locked myself out of my room. I had also forgotten where I left my camera, wallet and passport this morning. Slowly found each of them one by one.

This is not good and I need to get this silly problem under control real quick. Perhaps the best solution would be to stop drinking alltogether....

Not such a bad idea :)

I did much the same a few months ago, and life has improved 10 fold.

Yes I think it is a great idea and I may lose some weight in the process although I really do enjoy having a drink but can't tell the difference between moderation and over the top. I feel so good when I do not drink during the week but make up for it on weekends and holidays....

That's what I used to be like, but have turned things around considerably. On my recent trip to Europe I only got drunk maybe 3 times and I was there for a month. Add that with the huge amounts of walking I did, and I managed to lose 5kg (and lots of people noticed when I got back!). It's win/win really.

Welcome to the AFF chapter of AA. I'd join myself if I could stop drinking for long enough.
