With the Victorian apartment sales failing to settle there may be smaller stamp duty receipts about to get noticed by State Treasury.
Real estate is viewed as a golden goose by all State Governments and they do not recognize the pain where a borrower has to include the stamp duty in the amount being borrowed.

Exchanged contracts today for office space. Almost $7k psm. Being vacant, will experience pain of two kinds...cash flow because of GST payable - recoverable, having stamp duty on the higher (GST inc.) amount - not recoverable.

They are not a bundle of laughs on either side of the table. As the interviewee you need to get into the interviewers head which is where many fall down.

I was lucky with my current job; the interview was quite relaxed and one person asked a question "becuase I always get asked this question and I hate it, so Im going to ask you". Being able to laugh was good.
In my previous job, one of the panels phones rang during the interview; he actually answered it too which was hilarious.

An aunt of mine is an active Exit member. Her partner is of a similar mind and they will assist each other if needed.
I have given talks at Exit meetings about my experience with organising "a peaceful death" for a friend.
Exit = doing it yourself - by various means.
Andrew Denton / Dying with Dignity organisation = getting the legislation passed, so that it is not illegal.

We enjoyed Adele in London so today we bought resale tickets thru stubhub.com to her show at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
If you want to see her in Los Angeles you should come over tonight.

Absolutely agree that this should not happen.I believe that everyone should be able to die peacefully if that is their wish.
I am not sure I agree but then again I haven't been in that situation. I don't think it's that simple.

You may help out some people but then you are legalising killing someone who doesn't want to die.

Ah no JohnK. Never that.

Just wondering how it could be any different from a legal perspective where you withhold sustenance because of a DNR order being invoked. The initial stroke did not kill my mother but what happened or did not happen afterwards, did. Slowly and painfully.

The very original "where do you see yourself in 5 years?". How tempting is it to reply "rich and retired"?

Love that Q :D

Have always answered - doing your job!

First used this line in 1988 as a 21 year old - worked a treat, was hired by the State Mgr of a multi .... mind you the interview was conducted over a few stubbies...

Gotta love travel insurance companies: just working through my claiming expenses with my bout of pneumonia whilst overseas: my claim has now been divided into three claims even though it covers one incident: medical emergency, travel delay and baggage.

So?

Three claims, therefore $200 excess on each claim, isn't there?
