Funny how we remember stupid things and forget important moments in life.

I was just thinking about playing golf at Woodville with a friend 25-30 years ago and he hit a ball into the warehouses on the short par 3 7th hole. We spent ages looking for the ball and we finally spotted it and he found a way to climb the fence and get the ball. Except it wasn't his ball. ;)

Mind must be re-organising storage again.

That's so funny JohnK. :)It's interesting how things from the past suddenly reappear in the mind.

I also had the same problem yesterday and I know I definitely did not get my pin wrong.

Playing hokey for me too. Able to log in but couldnt cope with me trying to select a seat. Also noticed the option to 'go carbon neutral' had vanished but the Insurance one still there. Used the app to select seats fine.

My mind hasn't always been the best. Think the mind does a defrag regularly. All these thoughts I didn't know existed. All these thoughts I don't really want. And so many wonderful moments forgotten.

I don't iron at all, never have. Anything I own which needs ironing gets outsourced to the dry cleaners and Shrek irons his own stuff or similarly outsources it.

When I was young (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth), I had a few friends in the fashion industry who regularly pushed the cart of steaming being better than ironing to avoid fabric shine and other such things.

I still iron my own business shirts.

I actually find it relaxing to do something so menial, and rest my brain.

Penegal I use sleep to rest my brain and an ironing service to handle the shirts. If I spill something on a shirt I use Palmolive dishwashing detergent to get rid of any grease then toss the shirt into the wash.

She likes to hide the spoils of her mischief under the couch. I found a chunk of cat poop under there today

Ah. Oh. Which means she has been either rummaging in the kitty litter or rounded up the cat and held her hostage and the cat pooped. I'm not sure what would be worse. Ain't pets grand.

So are you ready for the new $5 note?

It will be released on September 01 and is the same size and general colour as the existing note.

We had some RBA staff at work recently showing us the new note and the big clear plastic strip down the middle makes it feel different.

The remaining notes will be changed in due course.

More info: RBA Banknotes: Overview

New $5 note to be released on September 1, Wattle Day

Many years ago I had a boss who would arrive at his hotel, unpack and hang his shirts on a hanger and put them in the bathroom. He would then turn on the hot water, close the door and go for a drink.

He maintained that his shirts were always wrinkle free and never had a problem

I'm not sure about the hotel's water and electricity bill though
