At 7/256 or 7/50, Australia really isn't in a good position!

Rain has so far managed to stay away, but for how much longer?

At the rate the Australians are collapsing, I don't think weather will save them now at all!

... (EDIT) Make that ahead by 54 runs but another wicket down. Geez...

At this rate does Australia need to be saved.

I never comment on a teams batting until the other team has batted. Frequently the problem gets highlighted as a pitch 'problem' or in other words both teams have similar outcomes.
I withdraw this comment on this occasion. ;)

(But then again maybe I should not:!:)

Why, it still stands ... both teams have now batted ...

I wish I'd got on to the 5's being offered for Pakistan before the match.

Might not matter now with the stand Australia is making. If they can hold it together a bit longer then Pakistan is really in a bad position. Add to that they’ve lost both appeals. So has Australia though?

Yep, Australia has no more chances for review.

I'm surprised at the stand they are making here, although at lunch they are still putting up a paltry target for Pakistan's second dig. Personally I'd focus on staying out there longer and being satisfied with at least a draw.

The Aussies just might escape the jaws of death but their performance in this test does not deserve them a win.

Australia now all out with a lead of 176.

I'm almost tempted to repost the Mike Hussey hero joke!

Well, Australia are all out for their second dig.

Target for Pakistan: 176 to win with 10 wickets in hand and a bit under 1.5 days to do it.

No prizes for guessing what the outcome of this test will be?

EDIT: looks like codash1099 just beat me to the punch (our timestamps have the same minute count, however!) :D

Bollinger was pretty unlucky with his first ball, onto the arm, then the foot and then the stumps. That’s why he’s a tail ender though.

So, Pakistan has 176 to chase, no reviews left for either side, and a whole day tomorrow so they just need to pace themselves. I do think that Australia will be on a fierce attack though and Pakistan are going to find it very hard.

Edit: And two people beat me there…

Not bad;

Almost as good as this BA classic thread from last year. Is it wrong to bring items from the C-kitchen to friends in Y? - FlyerTalk Forums

That’s an interesting topic that I’m sure would spark flames wherever you asked it, but it’s not the end of the world. I read the first page, but not going to read the other 9 pages.

On several occasions in my past I’ve had access to J amenities while in Y. From sitting in a J seat next to my dad when I was younger (buy flying in Y), to getting a lovely glass of red wine from JohnK last October.

It happens. It’s hardly a devaluation of J to get a pear and some pretzels from a friend ;)

2 reviews per innings I believe

make that 7 wickets. 2 to Johnson in the one over.

That total is getting lower and lower. Australia better attack harder if they want any chance of not losing.

Not sure if Pakistan's intention was to wrap up the game before stumps, or just survive until stumps and have a leisurely day tomorrow.

I thought they’d used them while fielding. Unless it’s 2 for each role. So 2 to field, 2 to bat, 2 to field, 2 to bat?

*Goes to check the rules on wikipedia*

3/77 at Tea ... 99 to win!

Very close.

I do think Pakistan is pushing to have a break tomorrow when they should have just taken things slower, but we’ll see if this game wraps up today…

Edit: Yousuf out, but looks like he’s taken an Australian with him. I wouldn’t have thought a ball could do that…

Edit 2: I have no faith in Pakistan, they’re not trying at all.
