Rain forecast for most of the day, continuing intoMonday BUT a huge front coming in overnight which may lessen the showers during the day.

Why are they playing Test cricket in Hobart in Spring, when it's always windy and frequently rainy? The Perth and Hobart tests are the earliest ever scheduled in Australia. Cricket admin in this country all about making money, at the expense of the best long term interests of the game and the people who turn out to watch.

Well at least we have finally got them out. Now to bat for the next 2.5 days - miracles may happen.

My parents flew down there to watch the match (so Dad could clock up attending every test cricket ground in Australia). Thought you or Steady might be there (if you were in Australia)

Went to a 50 year school reunion yesterday. Lots of our group are a bit grey compared with when we were 16 and 17. Don't miss yours is what I am thinking.

And having gone to a number of schools, the number of "50s" to attend increases correspondingly. Maybe it is just as well the travel bug has a permanent infection as arranging for these from a distance is "challenging". June 2017 is the next.

Then comes the "60s"

Happy wandering

Fred

My thoughts are if I havent looked for you or spoken to you in the past 10, 20+ whatever years then Im not interested in catching up for a school reunion. But thats me.
Me too. But it's even more blunt. I'm in touch with all the people I still want to know from high school. (two of them)
The majority of my year group were not very interested in me in school, so why would I want to see or speak to them now?

Everybody don't forget tonight we get the opportunity to see the biggest moon in something like 68yrs - I am not likely to be around for next 'Supermoon' so will sneak a peek tonight.

And whilst we are on the topic of these fabulous social media concepts all youse Bookface lunatics be wary of posting too many pics of your Aspen ski holidays or Maldives jaunts if you tax returns show zero to low income - Mr Tax Man is coming for you.

Crumbs CE, what the heck did you have to say that for? Lotsa tax income from the FacePimplers = less need to come after you and me!

Got a great view of the moon from my bedroom window.

That said, except that the detail is relatively clearer (I have no telescope, but can see some shadow detail of the moon), the size of the moon doesn't seem as big as other moons I've seen before which are not "supermoons".

Has it been mentioned about the KMART update?
I walked in for and everything has been relocated.......the checkout is in the middle of the store WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT?
The busiest guy\girl in the store now is the doorman as he has to JBHIFI every bag that leaves the store.
They stated the BIG boss instigated it.
I have spoken to 3 mums\business women that frequent Kmart and all HATE IT!

I've been all over the world and this is either GEN Y\Z or someone is taking the P***!

Checkouts have been in the middle of Kmart for a long time now.

Really? I obviously haven't been to Kmart for a long time then. Actually I can't recall the last time I actually bought anything there - the closest store to us is down the other end of Canberra so I don't go down there very often at all unless to Bunnings.

Wise move. I walk in there to check it out then wonder why I bother.

Pocket camera, no tripod (and on preview, the image has deteriorated a LOT from on my laptop screen :( )

Remember Harrison Schmidt - the only scientist to walk on the moon (a geologist! :) )
