My first memory of attending a concert was KISS at Lang Park circa 1982 IIRC. Still remember the pre-concert "war" of Poppers (the small containers of fruit juice) from the crowd down at the front. I was in the middle, watching the hail of Poppers like arrows being thrown from side-to-side.

About to take 175th (and final ) flight for the year. And for JohnK, it is on Jetstar Star Class, if that is what it is still called.
Happily , 41 of the flights were on true ,wide-body , First Class.

That is a lot of flying, a flight every 2nd day of the year, Happy New Year John.

Happy New Year to everyone else, I am spending the New Year around Coffs Harbour area, on a plane on the 5 January to Brisbane and back to work at least its a pay day.

Istanbul: At least three people opened fire inside a packed Istanbul nightclub shortly after midnight New Year's Day, killing at least 35 people and wounding dozens more, Turkish officials said.

This really worried me-

Mehmet Kocarslan, the club's owner, told the Hurriyet.com.tr news site that there had been increased security at the club for the past 10 days after US intelligence officials shared information about the planned attack. He said the attackers used Kalashnikov rifles.

The local newsagent sold a lotto ticket that won about $750,000 in early December, the person had still not claimed it, I mentioned this to the lass that runs one of the coffee shops and she said that a customer had bought her a ticket about that time.

Now she can't find the ticket, so here's hoping that someone else claims it. If it was me, I know I'd be feeling rather sick!
