I make two soups every week - only way to get decent amounts of vegetables into Mr FM. broccoli and green apples works very well, also Butternut, sweet potato and brown pearsAnd thanks to various lounge soups over the past month, Ive rediscovered the joy of soup. I made cauliflower (with potato, onion, garlic & bacon) on the Sunday.
Thinking minestrone in the slow cooker this weekend.

But the weather is so hot, too hot for a hot soup. And thanks to various lounge soups over the past month, Ive rediscovered the joy of soup. I made cauliflower (with potato, onion, garlic & bacon) on the Sunday.

Why do people think they dont have to clean up after themselves in workplace kitchens? Yesterday there was what looked suspiciously like a pubic hair in the microwave. Today I had to send this email around:
I dont touch the microwave but I like emptying the fridge - I give them two warnings and then I just toss everything.
A week or so later, a complaint about someones pyrex or tupperware is missing - not my problem, you were warned. They rarely do it twice.
Except they dont. Its not the cleaners job to clean the microwave nor is it mine. And I bought a 600m roll of glad wrap so theres really no excuse.
I dont own a microwave so what are they suppose to do with the glad wrap?
My first day with this company, I was so excited because it was close to home and they had a proper kitchen and yeah, I can microwave left overs.
2nd day, standing in the office lunch room in front of the microwave, coworker came and helped me. Telling me what all the buttons mean, presets, timer ect.
Me: Im trying to figure out how to open the door.
Ill eat a pizza with pineapple or even those gourmet ones but never give me a quiche:shock:
Cover the food so it doesnt spray everywhere.
Food sprays everywhere? Seems like a good idea that I dont own one then. Or a toaster. Or a kettle.
I discovered the other day that my sandwich maker doubles as a toaster so I dont have to grill it anymore
I have a teeny tiny kitchen so I dont clutter it with appliances
Nothing wrong with a quiche. Provided it has bacon in it.
