Went to 7Eleven this morning to top-up Go card. Walked out with Go card and receipt in hand. I was folding receipt and about 20 metres later the Go card was gone. Not in pocket. Not in Go card wallet. Has it dropped and someone picked it up?

Went back to 7Eleven confirming that he handed Go card back to me. Where is the Go card? He could see the Go card had fallen into the white shopping bag I was carrying.

Oh some days are weird.

Fluid loss is still weight loss. All that happened is I lost some of the 3-4kgs of excess fluids I am carrying around every day.

Lasix does the trick but long term use of Lasix is not recommended.

Sure, its a loss of weight, but it isnt a loss fat. If you rehydrate that weight comes straight back on.

Dad had a small incident in a car park a few weeks back where he was reversing and hit a Lexus causing some damage to the Lexus but none to our car.

The lady involved called me straight away as dad had given her my number and I asked her to get a quote to fix the damage and I will either pay the quote if less than my excess or put in a claim to my insurance. I gave her my email address.

Today we receive a letter from Lexus Insurance and a claim form. No quote. Good to see the need to fix her car was greater than the desire not to destress an older man for no reason.

Perhaps Lexus didn't give her an option to get a quote. A courtesy SMS or email would have been nice? "Sorry but Lexus won't give me a quote so I have to proceed with a claim!"....

My car had a small accident and the damage to my car was around 2k. The other party didn't want to do insurance I wanted to because my car is then cover for lifetime warranty on repairs and also get the hire car and taxi fares and there is a small unknown with the repair to my car and didn't want them to then argue about that part of the job.

Still better than no weight loss at all

Actually no, it's not.:) It leads to bounce that's not helpful for long term weight loss, especially if the OP replaces the water loss with Pepsi or sugary drinks.

If not at fault I just put the claim in.

Though the "lifetime warranty" is just a marketing ploy. Numerous times Ive heard my usual repairer asked to use second hand parts for repairs.

Last year my Toyota landcruiser rear boot was smashed by the dealership during a routine visit.
They offered to repair it (Toyota dealership) and went as far as not giving me the drivers name and licence number (employees privacy)
Anyway I never trust dealerships and put in a claim. Initially GIO refused to accept it as a nofault because I could not provide details of other driver. Eventually they saw sense because the party responsible was the dealership.

Home sales are like evolution - a slow and steady process.

We're finally under offer, and all things being equal will be in our future home in a little under two months.

Of course before then we'll be overseas for about a month. But it's nice to know we may not have to stress about what's going on in the meantime. Just stress about the different packing requirements and how best to offload all our unwanted items instead of dragging them to a new home.

Adulting is tough.

Adulting is tough.

Ive been progressively donating stuff in small doses.

Remember shelters are always looking for good condition clothing, blankets, bags ect. I just donated 4 big luggage pieces to a domestic violence group that help victims pack and go with very little notice.

We've also been donating stuff. Good stuff gets donated, junk is being piled in the carport and we will hire a skip at the end. Some things may be offloaded via gumtree or ebay.

Yeah I'll be giving a fair bit of gear away. Gotta pick up a couple old suits tomorrow that will go to charity helping people find work. Plus gotta cull quite a bit of other clothing.

Heaps of hand tools to give away. Will find a local men's shed to see if they could use them. We'll sell or offload some furniture too. Including our bed and associated furniture. Good excuse for us to finally upgrade to a king!!!

I have just spoken with CityLink. As I have gone from a Pajero to a Triton I need a new etag. The Triton is classed as a light commercial vehicle so the tolls have just gone up. Tullamarine to the City was $7.78, now $12.48.

Actually it does a lot of good.

I weigh myself more than once a day. If I see my weight has dropped I am excited and motivated further to lose weight. If my weight stays the same or goes up the motivation to lose weight is gone especially when I am starving myself to try and lose weight.

By the way I do know what I am doing regarding food intake. All confirmed with dietician. It's my body that decides to go against my wishes and store 2kgs of fluid in my calves and feet so that when I wake up in morning my shoes don't fit and I struggle walking.

But I wouldn't expect you to understand the issues faced by someone in my situation.

But from the reports, it doesn't seem it be very useful. Perhaps a psychologist/psychiatrist could explain the fallacy.

Yes. They still don't have wi-fi.
I read your posts of your trip and put it in the back of my mind, walked into their office in Luang Prabang, got a good price, only us two and 12 boat staff plus guide. Two others had to cancel, apparently.

Loved that trip. Food was exceptional (as was the aircon in the cabin at the end of the day!).

Yep, it was fabulous, great food, but way too much, they said it didn't get wasted, I hope that is the case. I want to try their Luang Prabang one now, it's different, you stay in a lodge overnight.

Interesting wine list as well, which would have been fun if in a group.

Loved Laos, been wanting to go there for years, regret leaving it until now.

Thanks for giving me the idea to look at this cruise, I owe you a beer if we ever meet. :)

Welcome to my world. And I bet your Pajero weighs less than my Hilux.

Or go onto to the western ring to the Westgate or Geelong Road.
