Yes, the manner of recline was a major problem. Slamming it back without a care about what is happening behind you.

And also, yes she definitely prefers the "other " side of the curtain now after two major trips - to Canada & Europe in J.:p

That's fair enough. I've no idea why people think that's ok to fling it back like that.

It's not always intentional. I tried to pop my seat back one notch the other night and it flew back quite abruptly. Pulled it right back up.

Yes I have had that happen to me too - gives both you and the people behind a fright. That is, however, not what happened in this case. Anyway that trip is in the past and, more importantly we can now start planning for the next holiday.:p

Yes. They do get stuck sometimes. I think a hand on top whilst trying to dislodge gives people behind a warning. I really dislike bulkhead seats as they make me really claustrophobic.

So the senate is rushing laws to amend the Native Title Act, so the Adani Mine can go ahead.

Mary walks off slurping her cereal. She is still very hungry.
You should try spending some time in the BKK EK lounge waiting flight to HKG. It was quiet earlier but like an orchestra in here now.

Time for a walk.

Oh I can just imagine. China Southern uses the QP in the morning direct into mainland China. ;)

Oh just lovely.

On EK A380 I'm in exit row and we are taxiing to gate in HKG and people are already queuing up with all their luggage. FAs say absolutely nothing.

We got off at gate 60 in HKG and going to immigration with the train. Just missed the train and I am first in line. Only 2 minutes to next train and 5-6 people pushed past me. Just as train arrived I pushed past them with me mumbling and they oohed and aahed.

You can tell wife not with me?

Have to use public transport to the city tomorrow... No lounge on the double decker bus, I checked.

It must be the day for it as I too have to PT it into the city for Vivid tomorrow night.

I have an Opal Card (bought for a visitor) and had to hand it over to the newsagent and say - ummm so how do I know how much is on it and how do I put more money on it and also whether what the amount I was proposing would even cover the cost.

we have Opal cards for when we visit Sydney. We generally fly and then get the train into the city. I love them - totally hassle free. They are linked to the CC, so you never have to think - just tops up as it needs to - wonderful!

yes Ms FM was looking totally exhausted last night when she came to dinner. Had been doing reports all weekend. I think her workload was exacerbated by being junior science curriculum coordinator - apparently they were changing a lot of things.

She was was very fortunate to get a permanent position straight out of uni, so no contracts to worry about. I can't believe this is her third year teaching - seems the other day she was finishing her degree and deciding to do a Masters in teaching!

I have to admit that my position has been absolutely exhausting, too. I don't teach as many classes as a fully loaded teacher, but I am the direct responsible teacher for three subjects (which means I plan the program and write the assessment), as well as a head of department. I have also had curriculum development responsibilities due to the new QLD senior curriculum being introduced in 2019, which also has an effect on year 10 curriculum - both of these I have had to participate in planning and strategy. And as most people know, when multiple tasks and deadlines are close to each other, the difficulty of delivering on all of them is certainly greater than the sum of their individuals.

It's been a really tough gig for someone fresh out of the graduate diploma! No idea how I managed to get through it competently; still no idea how the executive thought I was fit to be employed in the position in the first place!

you must be good - good people always seem to be given lots of responsibility early. Nearly holidays :). Although Ms FM is going to Canada on honeymoon for most of hers, so not quite laze around and do nothing.

My husbands birthday today.

He got his free loyalty member boost juice, red rooster meal and $50 of his Levis purchase with his birthday money gift. Hes about to swing past Wendys for a free icecream and then home for a food coma crash.

I told him he can get free subway for dinner for free as well if he wants - he wants chicken broth to detox.

Edit: and he wants to do Gold Class this weekend and we have enough points to free tickets :)

I love all the loyalty bonuses. Well done. I usually take advantage of the birthday loyalty offers but things were overwhelming for me a couple of months ago and I've just realised I forgot to use my Red Rooster free meal.

Ditto......

Nothing to report from my public transport journey today, 99% of people had their faces stuck in the phone but currently sitting in the Lindt cafe and poor guy having a job interview with agency.

Then poor man was just asked, "Why did you come to Australia?". Would have thought it was bloody obvious, considering the accent and its a IT job he's applying for.

It's a "young and hip group of thirty year olds". I'm rolling my eyes so hard.

Holy cough. This guy is currently only getting $52K per year.

I'm sitting about 15mrts away and can hear clearly. The offer will be $75 to start.

We are about to leave for a SYD flight and also plan to PT to the Quay to catch up with friends and have a look at Vivid tonight
