I prefer to say... we have so many more TV channels compared to previously, and yet finding something which isn't trash on TV is much harder than before!*

You know what I miss on TV? Some actually decent game shows.

* unless you are prepared to pay for it

I guess because its Gladstone? Very poor service, or lack of service.

We just had ANOTHER fire evac because someone burnt toast somewhere, or tripped a desk heater or something in the building.

Checking my records, we had to evac March 29th, April 3rd, April 4th, May 9th, May 19th, June 6th, June 20th. Ridiculous! Told the building manager that I have 2 very pregnant ladies (who now have evac buddies) walking downwards in spirals for 8 flights who are getting dizzy because of these false alarms.

Why are they evacuating down the stairs? Anyone who is unable to take the firestairs or anyone who represents a safety risk to others should be moved to the nominated point and they will be evacuated by the fire brigade (as they'd be announced as being there by the warden).

I used to work on Level 44 and get vertigo so I was required to go to the goods lift and wait for fireman to come and evacuate me (along with anyone else unable to safely use the fire stairs).

Living in Brisbane it'd be good to see NSW win State of Origin tomorrow night.

Going to be 31 today.. Add a dash of humidity and that's a no thanks for me!

As someone from Adelaide and currently in London, the weather is similar to Adelaide at around low thirties with higher humidity and at night it's just still - it's not bad if you're inside but going out to do this - no aircon on public transport and it's bloody awful

It is bad if you're inside as the houses are so old, the insulation is rubbish and they often end up being hotter inside than outside! ;)

To be fair, some national rail lines (Southern, Thameslink) and the Circle, District and Metropolitan lines do have aircon on (most of) the trains.

LoL..

If you want to feel better about your atmospheric situation....Spend a few hours on the Tube !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and when I say better, well

What doesn't kill you,...well....it lets you live I guess.

Took the Tube once, then discovered often faster to walk, and better physically for me even if I was Slower.

If I had a FitBit back then it would have probably exploded

But atleast it's only for a couple of days a year hey

sub edit, re edit...mytyping sucks, hate going back to correct imperfection

I sure as cough know that it isn't going to be like an Adelaide summer and it will not go on like this for three months - I'm on the bottom flat and there is a beautiful garden around so coping - I find it odd too that if you have a beer at a restaurant they just don't serve it cold. But enough whinging I'm having a ball in London

Lager is cold ;)

Yep - it'll be a week (at most, usually!) then it'll disappear again for quite some time. BBQ in our garden this weekend for sure.

I like my lager really cold - last night at a restaurant they were swirling ice blocks in the glass before they poured - I knew it wasn't going to be cold when I got it - never mind - next week everyone will be complaining about the cold (not me)

Very difficult to get anything cold in Asia. Drink beer with ice cubes is the only way to get it icy cold.

Happy Winter solstice everyone. This year it will be at 14.24 hrs in our part of the World

Say it isn't so !!!! New Ken doll has a man-bun. CourierMail "Ken gets a makeover "
