Not a great result for the Socceroos last night. My eldest son was there and will come home today. I think he may have used some of my SQ Miles to get there and back in style.

1st day of Spring and the boss declared that everyone had to wear something floral to work today.

I said, Challenge accepted and wore this!

He then told me not to look at him during a morning company meeting as it would make him start laughing. 3

Another woman at work asked when/where did I get this from. I told her what crazy, weird stuff that happens at my house is of no concern of hers :), which brought about more laughing.

You are looking a bit pale Denali

And in need of a shave!

I must be sick. I am in South Wharf DFO and there is nothing I want to buy. I've joined the miserable men group and sitting down watching the women shop.

It is actually a beautiful Spring day today - not a cloud in the sky and I actually took my coat off when walking the woofies. However I see we are back to 10 degrees next week :(

We have a pair of Falcons (birds of prey) living on the outside top floor of two high rise apartment buildings in Crawley WA. Their dive speed is totally awesome and they have all of Kings Park bush for their food supply.

We always have nesting magpies this time of year and it seems the babies came out of the nest in the past few days because all the bread and rice (leftovers) thrown on the lawn was gone overnight.

All the birds in our area use our two bird baths at the front of our house. There is definitely a pecking order with the largest birds going in first. The magpies don't swoop us because we have lived there for 26 years so they know us.

We used to feed ours left over cat food, now it's mince meat, probably a bad thing to do. We also have some butcher birds visit and they will eat out of our hands. The kookaburras won't come that close.

Looking forward to doing that next week, they will have missed us.

Speaking of birds, there were way too many people at the 'Eagles Nest', but it is still school holidays here.

Never a problem with magpies.A regular when living in Maitland. She used to sit on my shoulder to be fed.If a child rode a bike down our street she would take off, dive bomb them then come and sit back on my shoulder.
Moved to the sunshine coast and straight away the magpies would eat out of my hand.Mother would even leave me baby sitting the chicks.

Plovers on the other hand-dive bomb me at any time and anywhere.

Plovers just do what plovers gotta do.
I have a pair who have lived in my paddocks for many years.
They go berserk when hatching but never touch me.
I have even picked up a baby to say hello, that shut mum up…
Sadly the loss rate here is over 90%.
The local carnivores wait a couple of weeks until the chicks have put on a bit of condition.. and swoop.
Very sad to see mum skulking around on her own after all that work.

My brother had a pet plover (masked lapwing) when we were young. It used to follow him around and was very friendly. He also had a tawny frogmouth at one stage. We did live on a farm I might add.

Found a dead wattle bird on the front lawn under the flowering gum tree. Not sure if the cat got him or something else.

With my gum trees now mature, lots more native birds visiting my place. Various Wattle birds, New Holland Honeyeater and rainbow lorikeets.

Sometimes will leave fruit that is too ripe gets put onto various trees for the rainbow lorikeets.

Can't believe it's already September.

Our magpies don't swoop either, (or they will be shot) instead, they just come in the back door to raid the dogs food. Tap on the back door to wake us up if breakfast is running late.

Mr Macron's office confirmed a report on his beauty spending published by French news magazine Le Point, but said it was looking into a cheaper alternative.

But it is not the first time the hair and makeup bill for a French head of state has raised eyebrows.
In 2016, it was reported that Macron's predecessor Francois Hollande had a hairdresser on contract for €10,000 a month.
The figure was later confirmed by a government spokesman, who said: "Everyone has their hair done, don't they?"
