I assumed he did not pay the renewal fee, much like a car driver's licence where if you don't renew it by a certain date it lapses.
Regardless what sane person would hire or ride on a scooter in Asia? Certainly not me.

I haven't got a bike license, but I would have thought that it's included on the car driver's license once you have passed the test. Maybe he forgot to renew his full license, it does happen apparently.

My grandfather was a great gardener.Taught me a lot but it hasn't really worked.Have been into orchids and would love to have a good veggie garden.
my specialty though is growing weeds.They do very well.

I specialise is killing plants.

It is a source of amusement to my family - my grandparents were/are keen gardners, even having a nursery (specialised in orchids and fuschias) for a number of years, my parents met in forestry, and continued in it until they went to orchard and then avocados and now back to orchards/ grapes - as well as keen gardeners. My sister has a degree in horticulture and until recently managed orchards. Also a mad keen gardner.

A motor bike licence is a separate class which is listed on your licence. In the ACT if you don't have a car licence you have to do a full road ready course as well as the approved training course. It is possible he didn't have a car licence or as you so, neglected to renew it.
I thought travel insurance did not cover motor scooter use but may be wrong.

For our business travel policy, you must hold a current motor bike licence which matches the size of the bike you are using overseas.
Although this couple are having a difficult time (though will be interesting to see just how much the go fund me gets)
My boss has racked 10's of thousands in from his motor bike accident in Bolivia. (following the Dakar 3 years ago) and he is still receiving funds and now chasing permanent disablement component.

Don't know what was worse, the disinterested and cold staff or the disappointment in the food.

I have along with my manual car licence so it’s just part of your driving licence ( in QLD) so when one renews the licence, all parts of the licence are renewed at the same time.
