We've seen a few crazy boat ramp moments but thats terrible.

Did I mention my husband picked up his 4WD yesterday. The only off roading hes allowed to do is going over a gutter at Coles.

This is Dave. Dave inserts his car between Bob and Kev. Then there were four.

Nup. There are still four.

This is Jacko.

Jacko has the biggest motor. The locals are cheering.

Yay. Trev’s car is free

But, says Jules, how are we gonna get the boat home?

Bugger. The Boat.

So is the [company name] ute a 4WD or 2WD?

I ask because its got signage and my company utes are not suppose to be taken off road/off sealed roads.

Most people left the office by 3:00pm. Only 3 were around after 4:30pm and now only 2.

No managers in office. What's the bet most have not done their hours for the week and no one will check?

I've done my hours. Just on case.

Mrs Pushka, my diving and boat friends are asking whats happening, are all the cars out yet and what time is high tide tonight where you are. :D

We're OK with people leaving between noon and 3pm and still get a full days pay. There was about 5 of us in today.

I deleted the logo so maybe you could amend? Just in case. He’s had a bad enough day....

Done. Poor guy, all he wanted to do was enjoy his new $60K-$75K bar crusher for Chrissy and now hes gotta buy about 100 beers and somehow live this down.

As I say to people in the office when things go poop, "No one died, everything can be fixed. Its going to be OK".

On leave till the 2nd; we aren't even allowed in the office this week.

I've often wondered about that, I find this to be a bit of a phenomenon in the UK where most companies either shut down over Christmas/NY or they "force" leave over the period if they're quiet. If you're permanent and have a specified number of days leave (and have run out) how do they deal with that? I prefer to take my holidays at other times of the year, but am a contractor so have never had to find out really.

Agree - I've indicated as much to my team, they've worked more than enough hours over and above their "need to be there" throughout the year so it's a small gesture that is much appreciated.

My guess is that it's his company anyway.....

Oh. It gave a lot of people some amusement after a rather wet day. Everyone kept their cool and the locals were lovely in the way they helped out.

He will be spoken about until the next guy gets stuck! Gotta go home now but thanks for best laugh of the day!

I thought the same. The boat was very nice.

I confess I know nothing about boating. I have no idea why they didn't go to a beach with a boat ramp. But what happened to the boat. Did they tie it up to the jetty in the background of the photos.

Bugger. The Boat.
The late David Hooks was quoted along the lines of "if you ever want some free entertainment, go down to the local launching ramp".

My nearest is a five minute walk from home at Carrum.
