Tonight we had a good view of the "super blue blood moon". I remembered, just in time, to go outside and see the moon about 50% eclipsed and then watch it go "red". The eclipse is now starting to wane. I took a lot of photos with my camera but as I don't have a tripod there are lots of "blank" sky & out of focus photos but I got a few reasonable ones. The first one is early on in the eclipse moving on to the end phase. One is not that special but the white light below the "red" moon is a plane taking off.

Nice. Totally overcast in Adelaide. One of the big ships was in Adelaide overnight. Would normally have been a brilliant place up top to watch as surrounds are dark but damn cloud got in the way.

tea, water and wine only :). Oh and in Africa Amarula :)
When someone once discovered that I dont drink softdrink (just the occasional mixer) they asked what on earth I did drink. Tea, water and wine was my answer...what else does one need in life?

I rarely drink spirits of any kind, and soft drink even as a mixer falls into the same category.
I do however make up for it with wine and the occasional beer.

I blame Tony Hancock for turning me into a practitioner of homeopathy.I now really believe in the healing powers of a few drops of tonic being added to an iced glass of gin.

Yes, but you only add the gin to make the tonic palatable, surely?

No blood moon visable in Brisbane last night due to the heavy rain (in fact they were saying the best place was Bundaberg) - sorry, a bit far to drive and too late to fly.

We didn't see anything on the Sunshine Coast either - complete cloud cover ! Rain later in the night.

Well my $2K eftpos card didnt last long.

Hubby phoned me to come downstairs with it and he went and bought himself a new computer and other very important, must have things.

I might have to put him on a budget.

Don't worry Mrsdrron has been before-twice in fact. The first occasion because she was going to buy an opal from a miner. We stayed at the Desert Cave hotel and part of the deal was a free town tour.We were the only one on it.The guy asked her where are you going and was a bit gobsmacked when she replied this is our destination.Well he knew a miner and the rest is history.
