I wasn't paying a lot of attention to these things in those days, so it't not huge in my memory.

Well, this bullying thing is interesting. It’s gets over used these days. But again it’s thrown around on both sides.

Would this be very differently reported if Mikaela was a Michael? Would Michael have been told to take a chill pill? Could Michael have made the same statement but be called a misogynist? Would Michael have been asked the same questions by Dougie?

I think it was more her outburst I found totally unbecoming for any member of parliament. Part of the problem is the adversarial nature of Australian government and I agree that it seems to have become worse over the last few governments. No one (of either party) has been able to get on and govern the place. Guess should be used to it by now and not be bothered by it.

I think we deserve better. Although I do recall similar outbursts from Keating. But he was a leader. And what he said was clever mostly. Maybe that’s the difference. We don’t have any leaders these days, do we. But as we suffer from all their decisions, especially with regards to superannuation etc while on both sides there is no thought of touching their own nest egg security, well, it rankles.

Oh Tommy. You really need to go into the Eastern Suburbs. Greenhill Road. It will be gridlocked from the Hills to the airport. The car race is horrendous and as I said the other night I don’t even go into the market this week. MrP left 45 minutes earlier today just to get to work on time.

Yes, I know it had recurred but thought that was about 12 months ago. It may well have come back again. She is so young (compared with me) and I really like her style so it was a shock to see her struggling today.

No, Keating was literate and his parliamentary language was in context. Cash’s brain fade was the worst performance we’ve ever heard in federal parliament. Completely outrageous that she was was once minister for Women. Completely unforgivable and she should hang her head in shame and slink back to hiding behind whiteboards, preferably out of parliament altogether.

Dutton and others who are making excuses for her behaviour are equally unfit to sit in federal parliament.
