There are any number of beliefs without real evidence.
Many reports out there of how this or that cures cancer but with no scientific evidence.But 40 years ago I had a case to remember.
Was seeing a fellow for his heart disease.came for his 12 month checkup and he looked awful.turned out to be bowel cancer that had spread to his liver and nearly all his bones.Had a colostomy as great risk of bowel obstruction.Specimens taken which proved cancer.
he came back to see me to ask what should he do.As always I said if there is something that you really want to do go and do it now.So he ran off with a 16 year old girl and returned to smoking.
Two years later he came back to see me to ask why he was still alive.absolutely no evidence of cancer so he had his colostomy reversed.So does running off with a 16 year old cure cancer?
There was though a sting in the tail.Six months later he died of a heart attack.

Life is not a rehearsal I’ve heard it said. But one has to pity the 16 yo involved.

Today received an email from a Health Complaints Commission asking for my comments on an alleged wrong decision I made.
They then ring up saying they need my response urgently.
I pointed out that the complaint request they sent me clearly names another doctor and the event happened a day before I commenced working at the hospital.
We still want your report on the incident.
My defence organisation will be in touch with you is all I could say.

Today we flew out of Perth and we have just caught up with the news.....Someone hacked the advertising signs at the recently opened Yagan Square and put some coughhub material in place of the genuine advertising. That may carry a penalty but it is often difficult to catch the hacker.
