Hope you had an alternative.

No. Having to wash on trips has been interesting. Quite a difficult set of manoeuvres with Mr ALH helping. Sitting on the side of the tub and getting help to swing legs around. Trying to stand up again. A couple of falls.

Even now, 6 months later I still can’t manage a shower over bath by myself.

It’s because it so easy to fall that I dislike showers over baths. I have quite bad balance and get a bit anxious if I have to negotiate a high side to get in or out. I can only think how awful it must be for you ALH even after this time after the accident.

My balance is still very poor and I have to do a lot of therapy and excercises to try and sort that out. My life has become a bit more challenging. Looking carefully at where I’m going to step. Measuring how far I’ll need to walk. Frequent resting. Not being allowed to drive is the worst :(

Oh dear. A few challenges there indeed. No driving too! Will that change as you continue to recover?

Ventured to the Colours of Impression: Masterpieces from the Musee d’Orsay today in preparation for our trip to Giverny in June, in the SA Art Gallery. The only place in Australia it is being held I believe.

Loved this one of Coco Renoir. And can stand close enough to see the paint work. Boys didn’t have their hair cut until they were 6.

Have been to Giverny a couple of times as it changes with the seasons. Although it is a tourist mecca the gardens are lovely. The tiling in the kitchen is something else (so you can aspire to repeating :p). The other place that I liked was Auvers sur Oise where Vincent VG lived at one stage and where he is buried.

We went to the Cartier exhibition at the NGA the other week - loved the sparklies there! A few bob's worth.

I too l loved that bright yellow kitchen and the blue and white scullery.

Hoping I can get to Canberra to see the Cartier exhibition and looking forward to getting back to Adelaide to see the exhibition

Sitting in on a bench on Prince St and it's surprising how few bags people are carrying, because you are charged for bags.
