My flight back to London is in 7 hours, yet I've been out with friends catching up. Now have the difficult task of working out if I should risk sleep or try to stay awake.

Have to get moving towards the airport in about 3.5 hours anyway... Wonder what is on tv.

I had that problem once in Shanghai, hit the clubs all night, got back at 3AM, though a few hours wouldn’t kill me, woke late, rushed to the airport, and Cathay rebooked me no problems on the next flight. Then again, I was in China and I was flying Cathay.

I assume wherever you are you’ll be flying J, so you might get sleep on the plane anyway :)

Poor form. You should have been packed, clubbed a little longer and gone straight to the airport.:p:lol:

Well I made it to the airport. Flying Y (Normally it's PE on this route), so will hopefully sleep well on the journey - as I've had no sleep for over 24 hours now...

Perhaps the op-up Deities/God/QF Ground controller will take pity on me and find me a nicer seat in a better class!

Also, I should sober up a little before my flight too... Oops. They have Cascade Pale in the F lounge now. Very little chance ;)

Sleep will happen as soon as I hit my seat on the plane. Very stuffed at the moment.

Dinner with friends was very good though. Haven't seen them for quite a while and it was top nosh.

And again tonight on her flight CBR-PER. Glad to see you were responsible and enjoying the Hahn light in the Qantas Pub. Not sure what you consumed in CL before I got there. :)

karens and I had a lovely hour or so of conversation this evening. Great to catch up for the first time since Sydney last year. Look forward to sharing a plane with her and flashware on the way to OzFest very soon.

I was well behaved in the CL. The strongest thing I drank was coke. I was just impressed that MP's knew my friend by first name. Turned out one rather happy man in the CL was the new leader of the Oppostion in the Senate.

HVR and I had a fantastic chat in the QP.

Hmm, who let you out of your cage to post?:p

Happy Birthday to 2 AFF members today.

Straitman; have a good day Bill and I hope you will be fit and healthy for Ozfest in a few weeks.

Happy Birthday to Leumas, Sam doesn't list his birthday on AFF but I have other ways of finding out, will catch up for a drink with you in Ozfest.

My dad booked flights yesterday to go to MNL next month.

Here's the news: He's flying QF! BNE-MNL r/t direct. Turns out QF were the cheapest for the dates he wanted. That, too, is also odd news.

Damn I wish I had a QC pass to give to him to use in BNE (I gave away my PS one some time ago). The return flight MNL-BNE has a feral timing, too. And finally both legs are on the much dated QF 767-300 (my guess it will be an international type).

My best wishes and birthday greetings to straitman and Leumas as well!

And I echo your sentiments re straitman and trust I'll be sharing a beverage or two with him and Sue in Adelaide.

Thanks for the well wishes, guys. :) Bundy tipped me off to read AFF, and I took me ages to find this thread. :)

I'd an excellent day, and woke up with a bit of a headache, which one may call a hangover...

I just landed in Melbourne and the fire trucks were lined up ready to roll. Our pilot said the trucks were waiting for the flight which was landing after us. I can't see anything from where I am in the QP. Anyone heard anything?

Everything looks fairly normal outside.
