The dress at the wedding got absolutely slayed by everyone I was with, not a single nice comment to say! They liked the afters dress much better, though.
I liked it when I saw it - unbelievably simple, but it suited her elegant style.

I liked the dress, very classic, preferred it over Kates dress. I would have liked it with a bit more design but meh, not my wedding. SHE liked the dress and her husband thought she looked beautiful, no one else counts.

How nice is was to see a bride without 10gals of makeup on (you could see her freckles) and fake eyelashes.

Any recommendations for Launceston Tassie hotel for 2 nights?

I like the Sebel - but if you book it, make sure you ask for, and GET a room at the back, not on the street. The church up the road has a loud bell, even in the evening. Having a room at the back, I've never heard it.

Otherwise, the Grand Chancellor is pretty reliable. Peppers Seaport is in a good spot and has cafes and restaurants immediately around it, but I've never stayed there.

And no fake tan according to MrsQS
MrsQS surprised Charlie,Liz and Phil did not use walking aid.

Did the Ghurkas played a role?
After all the wars they fought alongside the British, were they ever conferred citizenship?

Thanks. I was looking at the Sebel and they might have a Christmas day dinner - we will be arriving Dec 25th.

I thought the dress was lovely - very plain but classy and she looked lovely in it.
I thought there was something not quite right about the size. It reminded me of Princess Mary’s wedding dress but I did like hers better.

Good grief, a tv channel is replaying William and Kates wedding!

But I will say, the Queens outfits for these occasions are always impeccably made, the tailoring is always on point.

Spent a few nights at Peppers a few years ago and was quite good. Easy access. River views, cafes, close wine shop.

Doesn’t mean you have to sit and bear it all over again, Denali.:p

The dress was stunning. Structured, elegant and sophisticated. It reflected her - she’s not (from what she used to share online) ostentatious.

The tiara was gorgeous too.

The pieces from Sheku Kanneh- Mason (the cellist) during the signing of the register were just beautiful.

The dress shots and the cello piece (courtesy of a Vanity Fair article) are the only 2 bits I saw as I was out last night.

Do they give advance notice? They do here, so you can at least plan properly. I'd rather do it that way than do it at night at higher rates and drive up the cost of our fare even more.....
Advance notice? Only if you enter and exit train station where the signs are displayed.

How do you plan? If the whole track through to Varsity Lakes is out the express bus to/from Roma St to Varsity Lakes is quicker than the 1h20m the train takes. If partial track out like only to Yerongpilly this weekend then it can be slower than the train. But the track to Milton was also out so there's another delay.

Then the planning of the railway buses was poor. The railway bus I got on at Roma St station was nearly full. Only picked up 3-4 people along the way to Yerongpilly. The ones left behind were complaining that all buses passing were full. Feel sorry for them to be stuffed around.

Now on the way back and the same stuffing around in reverse. Was at Milton station 9:15pm 2 weeks ago. See how we go today.

Mum in law still in hospital/rehab and its been a month since her hip replacement.

Moved hospitals last week and finally shes off the drugs and doing physio. She was so unwell (from the drugs) you could see emotionally she was going downhill but shes already looking/sounding stronger.

That’s good to hear. Hope the improvement continues.
