Quite the evening over here. We purchased our first proper dining table (restored hardwood, heavy, and an absolute steal on eBay. Local seller, so went round and had a look. He even delivered it!). Also purchased our first proper couch and armchair (through West Elm. We got a little discount and a ton of QF points through the mall).

Mrs AS just noticed that the armchair has been reduced in price! What! She's emailed asking for the extra discount to be applied to our purchase yesterday.

Sons and Daughters is the show I first remember seeing her in. She was also in The Young Doctors but I was too young for that.

Got a zero turn Ride on lawn mower.

However the manufacturer had gone out of business several years ago.
Hydraulic transmission on the right side went kaput.

Sorry no parts in OZ.got part for left side transmission but not right side

Mower place tried to sell me a new one. Well a replacement 61inch cutter deck is about $15k. Discount $14k if you trade in the old one for parts
Nice try...

So I went direct to the manufacturer of the transmission in the US (different to mower manufacturer).

I rang their head office, answered by some receptionist within seconds and was put through only once to the technical department. Again answered immediately. Spoke only to one person who was knowledgeable about the part I wanted.

And part ordered there and then.
Just had to do money transfer which was Ok. Further communication by direct email to same person.

Telstra take note!!. Transactions can be so much more efficient without Call centres who pretend to live around to corner from you.

Oh her. You're right I recognised her when I saw the photos though never really watched her much. 77 is not very old and bladder cancer sounds a nasty way to go.

Havng closed my Citibank card three weeks ago, I got an email statement this morning telling me I owe $15 in interest payments.

Thank goodness.

And even less to watch these days due to the reality carp including the highly edited and choreographed Masterchef. And current affair shows have gone rogue/gutter so nothing there.
I’ll watch docos and occasionally sports that’s it.
