That’s as quick as it gets. Pity it’s not the same for our domestic stuff

Don't get me started on Aust Post :mad::mad:

Must admit i bought an item from SYD a week or so back - late morning/early afternoon - and i had it delivered by OZ POST/courier to Ipswich, the next morning.

i was surprised by the efficiency.

USPS to OZ them AusPost to me
While we think it may be spectacular, it’s not the first time and is probably the norm (notwithstanding the outliers). The US has a very efficient logistics forwarding infrastructure

Don't get me started on Aust Post :mad::mad:

Having an online business for nigh on 11 years and shipping to every corner of OZ could write a book on Aust Post, I have two major gripes, they don't have a 2kg satchel and that awful habit of leaving goods when no one home then stolen with stuff all compensation, so we go the extra expense of sign for goods sticker.

Talk about washing your dirty linen in public. Obviously years of built up rage being let go - but what about a little dignity?
The kids felt utterly betrayed by their mother. Maybe they weren’t cared for properly afterwards. Mothers have such a unique bond with children and when it goes wrong it messes them badly. Not sure that dignity comes into play. It’s like depression. You don’t contemplate the impact of suicide on others when you are in that dark place.

And they still leave it on doorstep even when signature required.

Ours used to not leave anything except a “missed you - please pick up at LPO” card even if sig not reqd

I was personally handed one of these instead of the parcel once by someone on a motorbike when I was gardening at the front gate.

Apparently the scam used to be the parcel guy pays someone to hand out the cards so all the parcel guy had to do was to dump parcels at LPO

I actually think this was/is a good idea and told postmaster so but eventually it was knocked on the head probably because postmaster did not want parcels clogging up the postoffice

When your number is up? I had the Hepatitis A vaccine in 2003 but when tested a few years later no signs of having been vaccinated.

Should start thinking about possible vaccines and act.

Especially if you are travelling to Thailand. Hep A is extremely uncomfortable and painful, even if you don't get to the life-threatening stage.

Agreed. We need to work out what other vaccines are needed. Tetanus, measles, mumps etc.

What can I say, revenge is best served cold. Dignity is not actually that popular an attribute, it seems.

I guess they didn’t see it as their loss of dignity but hers and just trying to redress a lifetime for them of betrayal. It is after all an unpleasant story.

Meanwhile,
Family’s blistering obit for dead mum

“She will not be missed by Gina and Jay, and they understand that this world is a better place without her.”

People make similar life choices all the time, but the biggest mistake is not to reconcile (from both sides) before departure into the never never.
Who knows she may have carried that guilt all her life but could not see a way through. Maybe she tried and the kids were too estranged for that to be possible.
Very sad
