Thanks for the photo of Brody & Sienna, straitman. As I said in my SMS, give my love to jaksmum.

My son is off to hospital now for a corrective eye operation (both eyes). Thankfully only day surgery but here's hoping the issue is fixed and I'm looking forward to seeing him tonight when I get home from work.

Congratulations and best wishes to your family Bill:D
... Sienna weighed in at 7lb 6oz (why do baby weights still get measured in lbs?) ...
Dunno why, but lb's are a "traditionally" used to assess baby size. i.e. < 6lb is small, > 9lb is large.

When our (now 18YO) was born the Midwife weighed her and said "4.55 Kg" - I exclaimed "10lb!" and the midwife looked at me like I was silly.

However, she checked her conversion tables and there it was - 10lb 1½oz. I must admit, mini serfty did not look large, being more long and lanky at 59cm.

I'm sure all will go well Lindsay, looking forward to hearing Jack's made a full and quick recovery in no time! :)

+1! Congrats grandpa, grandma and the rest of the family

mini serfty
 isn't one serfty bad enough? :p

Many congrats Straitman and Jaksmum (and let's not forget gran'ma SueOz here!).

LBS and OZ's are for ol' fogey's like moi who still can't get the hang of weights in kgs ... I'm with Serfty - I need to do a manual conversion to make them meaningful.

And Wijomas ... you a cruel wee lad ... "one Serfty enough" indeed

 I had the flu injection, I avoid children and I've got some sort of bug. Not the full blown flu, I had that last year and it was a real swine.;)

Running a temperature and phlegm everywhere when I cough.

And it's very cold here in CBR at the moment which I normally love but when I am sick well...

Can only hope I keep losing weight. Prunes and yoghurt are about the only things staying down at the moment.

I feel for all of you down south. Here in MKY the minimum was 20C this morning.:)

ARRGHH!! How long does JQ points credit to QF usually take? I am waiting for my tick-over to silver for the first time. That and a loyalty bonus too...

Up to 14 working days, by the QF book. :-| Note that 14 working days is almost three weeks (since weekends are not working days, although sometimes for some reason QFF engine does process points / SC payments on the weekend).

Looking at my last JQ flights, processing time seems to be 4 days. (Even if you fly JQ on a non-earning fare, if your QFF number is on the booking you'll still get a line in your Activity Statement telling you that zero points and status credits were earned).

One time, it did almost blow out to the 14 working days, however a little push and shove (I was a SG) and pleading with the QFF service centre resulted in a slightly expedited crediting (which pushed me over to WP).

Agree! Saw Toy Story 3 today on some downtime from the slopes at ZQN . Must see film, believe the hype. Cried my eyes out at the end. Beg, borrow or steal some children and see it.
