I have a new rule when on holidays. Do not cram in too much and get as much rest as possible. Only had a few late nights and most nights I was in bed well before 10:00pm. Still feel tired from 9 games of golf in 10 days but much better than usual.

Dreading another 4 flights before I get home tomorrow morning. One of these days I am going to fly direct.

Ah, John, you should have texted me! We zoomed upstairs after arriving, hung around the shops for a bit, then hung about in the lounge, then headed to gate. Then went back to lounge for another hour due to fuel load failure.

We landed early and I did not realise the concourses/gates would be close. Good to know for next time.

I only arrived home from my last trip and already planning my next one.

Glad someone has some energy and keen on more flights.

Good luck to you. My flight has gone from Y4B1 a couple of weeks ago to Y9B9H9K9M9. I think someone is having a lot of fun teasing me.

Oh and CX herringbone seats are horrible.

I know this has been covered before, but cant seem to find using search so dont scream "use the seach feature".


I am about to click over to gold on my next o/s trip, will happen by may calulations either by the time i reach LAX.

I will then have LAX-JFK on AA, LGA-BOS (AA) and BOS-(AA)-LAX-(QF)-BNE to travel - will I be able to get lounge access given i wont actually be in possession of a gold QFF card? Note that i am only transitting LAX on way to JFK (flying AA) so how quickly does it credit? I suspect access after landing in LAX on outbound leg could be majorly problematic, but i have a realtively short transit anyway (2.5hr) so not too worried about that (i also have the x1 silver access card so can use that if delayed), but could have a long wait in BOS prior to departure for LAX so would like access there if possible. I have about 2.5 days between arr JFK and dep LGA, then another 5 days before leaving BOS.

Any thoughts on where I will be able to access whilst in the US?

On the proviso that the QF systems have updated your status and AAs systems reflect the change, your boarding pass should get 'SPH' printed on them and that should be enough to get you in to the lounges.

Just the ultimate LCC model, with all staff being responsible for all areas of aircraft operations, inlcuding flight crew doing the cleaning. They must save thousands in fuel a year by not carrying around extra dirty and grime.
