Kinda funny:

Channel 7 are still advertising the Brisbane St.Patricks parade and telling people they should turn up. Yep, all good - except for the fact it was 10:30 this morning.

Yes, which is one reason why some IT folks hate them.

The real issue is that CEO(1) has a meeting with CEO(2). CEO(1) has an iPad or iPhone and shows CEO(2) the awesome thing they can do with it.

CEO(2) then tells IT - I need it now. Make it happen.

End result: Extremely poor Apple implementations into corporates. Some of the stories I have heard are extremely scary.

Let's just say that in 2011/2012, Pen testing will probably focus on iPad entry points.
 
DSD are working with Apple to produce a hardening guide that will cover the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices. There are rumours that the controls will cover data to PROTECTED. Doubtful anything can be done to reduce the handle-as for national security classifications though.

Fronted up to the Genius Bar this morning, told the truth and left with new iPhone for free :)
Apparently as Mal said she could charge $249 for replacement but as a gesture of good will etc etc. Synced when I got home and everything restored perfectly

Here in Tallangatta it's gone the other way,rained quite hard this morning for an hour or so but now the sun is shining and it's a warm 28 ,sitting on the balcony with a glass of home brew and it's very pleasant indeed.

I'm kicking myself this afternoon. Booked a non-refundable flight yesterday and didn't notice that two of the sectors were actually on the same plane. Drats, I may lose 60sc from that which I would've earnt...

And the silly thing is that I was aware of that particular Ccnx issue and was trying my hardest to avoid it! The booking system showed it as two seperate flights - not one flight - and it is shown as two separate legs (but e-ticket shows it as one). Changing seat on one of the legs also changes the seat on the other one too.

So I think I'll be out of luck with getting both credited.

Hey that's good news! The cynic in me says it's because they know there are issues with the glass design, but I think it's because they thought it was a refreshing change for someone to walk in and accept responsibility for their iphone having issues!

Sorry, I don't get what's the problem? (I ask this more out of ignorance and misunderstanding, not that I don't care or you don't have a problem)

Do you have two sectors which are impossible to fly (so one has to be cancelled) or that you won't get your extra SCs due to the booked as one flight number rule?

It's the same flight number, 2 sectors, 1 boarding pass issue.
Just miffed. Re-did my sums, and it's actually 90SC i'll be missing - not 60. :(

The e-ticket shows AAA-CCC not AAA-BBB-CCC, May have to try and get that sorted....

The numbers of SCs you're throwing around can only mean either a premium long haul flight or AA YUPP run. The only other thought is that it's QF81 in J return (booked as SYD-SIN without ADL). But none of those are completely non-refundable.

On a "related" note, I found that it is possible to book a two-leg flight (e.g. QF31) using the multi-city booking engine, but still have two legs on the same flight, i.e. say QF31 SYD-SIN and QF31 SIN-LHR on the same ticket. Not sure if it'll pass mustard on real ticketing, but that's pretty cool and it seems to have little impact on price (well, at least this instance I located). Now I could eat my words later...

Should not have any problems crediting both flights if they are listed as separate sectors on the one ticket.

It has worked for me in the past with the MRZ-NAA-SYD flights.
