Wasn't too bad on Tuesday - they were handing plates of Satay Sticks with rice.

I note the water features have gone.:-|
They came around a number of times with beef lasagna, satay sticks and various dishes. Don't get me wrong the staff are always active but the lounge is boring. Doing some work immediately outside so not sure if this will impact the lounge itself or more advertising fro Changi shopping.

In the Bne QP.The good:- the pizza is fresh and being repeatedly replaced (do they put in in the qp once it's stale?)- the lounge angel moved me to an earlier flight without a hint of trouble so I'll be in mel 45 mins earlier than planned- Beer mmmmmmm beerThe bad- it's chockers there's barely a seat- which means it's loud and not relaxing- which means everyone is cranky- the chicken casserole (legs on bone) is terrible slop and shouldn't be in the j lounge. And neither should the (tastes powdered) mash potato. It wouldnt even be up to standard for the QP. For shame Fred Perry.... ;-)- as usual, stupid wireless not workingIf anyone's here, I'm sitting under the tv screen across from the chicken slop. Normally i see JohnK on a Friday night but presume is still flying back from bkk-hkg-tpe-hkg-bkk-sin travels?

Just completed an Airbus tour with Lindsay Wilson, I think the tour is not as good as the Boeing tour but since I was in the area thought I would take a look.

For the record, the Airbus tour of SMD1 was certainly underwhelming compared to that of Boeing of SMD2. There's a small amount of bias there as SMD2 was bound to try and beat the daylights out of SMD1, but I always got the impression that Airbus were real control freaks, viz. with respect to all the IP lying around. So you were spoilt before you got the chance (and you took it especially as a normal civilian, not part of a special interest group).

As I write this, I'm at the Holiday Inn Express Frankfurt am Main Airport. This is going to be my last night of sleep in a bed on the ground....until next Wednesday night (22 June, AEST). I've got quite a bit of flying coming up, and my usual night bed will take various forms up in the air...

Re: Velocity’s First Millionaire! - Velocity Rewards Newsletter

A little Misha/Yogi sub-forum - I do like the sound of that ;)

There must be some sort of need for some sort of, um, you know, like comedeic / dramatic ongoing serial about things to do with the kinda cough we banter on about. Like the old style of radio serials that used to be on before tv was big and the internet was just a bunch of letters. We could have ongoing plot lines and build an audience with our stories. Alternatively, some sort of "airline news and analysis" where we look at the news in a not so serious way. Or something catchy.

We could start a thread (now which is the busiest, most important part of the forum, I mean, somewhere quiet) and play with some ideas and people could join us and we could form a group - the AFF Anti-5 (hmm, no, too clicky and in-jokey). We'll think of a good one.

I like it - something between Morecombe & Wise/Two Ronnies and Kath & Kim? ;)

Maybe we should film it and upload AFF videos - we'd be a hit - then QF & VA will pay us to slip in anecdotal advertising.

"Say Yogi- that reminds me of the wonderful new menu aboard Air Dagestan. Whether you are Kosher, Halal, on Lent or just calorie counting - there is something for you and wow does it taste good."

"Wow Misha, I may have to book a trip with Air Dagestan just to try out their meals"

"Oh I know I will again Yogi, I will. You know what, we should see if we can't get some of their ads on here - there's an idea... Now, back to our regular segment 'Dear Mr. Joyce"

Is it bad I don't know who Morecombe and Wise are? I am trying to think of a good name for a new thread (in a different sub-forum) but it's evading me. Hmm, what about Atmosphere (insert some witty tag line here). It's the awesome but failed name for the new VA FFP that they are probably not changing the name of. That's the vibe we are going for - awesome but one small flaw that brings the whole operation down, which we should have really known, but never thought of, lol.

Like me meaning to type Yogo and typing Noob!? LOL - will go change :)

I will leave the details to you. I'll just turn up for shooting and for collecting pay cheques :)

Currently at HIX Berlin City Centre and very impressed. By far the nicest one I've stayed at. Reminded me a bit of an SPG hotel as it has a PC floor. Nice and modern and comfortable for a weekend away.

Yep, had a very nice stay here in March. Great HIX, very well treated, and was easy to get to - 1 b*s connection from Tegel airport.

Posted from my laptop computer, running dodgy Windows Vista, via the world wide web. And sitting in BNE business lounge annex of the QC - just seen my son off for a 3 week trip around France with his school.

Currently in the Lufthansa First Class Terminal in Frankfurt am Main.

A little tired, but just had a latte macchiato. My PA is very nice, though she was a little bit hesitant to let me in when I produced a very scrunched and folded up print of my booking (which I had obtained from CheckMyTrip!). I just hope she'll be able to work out my incredible routing (well, it's quite incredible compared to most standards of people who depart from this lounge).

Hoping to find a rubber ducky in the bathroom.....

On the way home now after flying around Europe for 2 weeks.

Currently in the BA First lounge in T3 waiting for my Qantas flight to Sydney, with points upgrade to J.

Probably not as good as the Frankfurt First lounge or Qantas Sydney First lounge but it will have to do.

Sent from my Sony Laptop running Windows 7.

Well in the spirit of being OT-last night in Japan.looking out at Nagoya castle from the Westin.
Flying home tomorrow on QF22.Thanks to the skills picked up here on AFF have snagged 1A,2A on a 4 class 747 as J pax.
