What flights have you planned for FT Sin Do, I haven't even thought about 2012, I still got the rest of 2011 to plan.

...

AFF5 in Canberra Oct 5-Oct 7, which is booked, should be fun, looking forward to it.

Umm AFF5 in CBR is 7-9 Oct not 5-7.

For the FT SIN DO I will head over on the Jet* flight the Thursday prior and not sure when I will return, may tack a trip to BKK on afterwards.

Wow it must've been a good trip to wait that long. :) I have my next two trips planned (FT SIN DO in Jan and US in Mar) and am thinking of a quick trip before then.
It was actually a good trip but I was glad to get back and after a couple of days in Brisbane yearned to be back in Thailand. ;)

I am back again early October and then again in January 2012 with a slight detour at SIN DO as well.

Was the trip for pleasure?
Pleasure. I managed 8 games of golf with 2 days rest in between. A little tiring but thoroughly worth it.

The race is on:

Those who have been following my posts may know what that package contains... Let's hope it gets here before I head over !

I signed up for the Sydney City to Surf race last night and I was wondering when the Brisbane race over 10km was on this year.

Bridge to Brisbane 2011

The Sunday Mail
Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane is pleased to announce that this year’s fun run will be held on Sunday September 11, 2011. This annual Brisbane event will celebrate its 15[SUP]th[/SUP] year.

Good that I don't have anything else work wise on that weekend. Just hoping that the date isn't selected for the inaugural 787 flight.

Last year I completed the 10kms in 65 minutes and 13 seconds so hoping to finish it under 60 minutes this time.

Re: The Lounge 1stAug - changes to access and pricing (including Priority Pass Access

Right, well apart from being bloody hilarious - you people are also very troubled and have far too much time on your hands!

For your information, I am currently sitting in the Lounge at Sydney airport, after succesfully making myself a grilled sandwich (kudos Virgin Australia: way to listen to your customers! - turkey and cheese... hmmmm) without even having darkened edges on the bread (admittedly I erred on the side of caution and went for the "ever-so-slightly-sun-kissed-toasted" approach!).

I have mised much these past few days so will log on once I am back in Melbourne in a couple of hours to respond to all the posts here - though I am also eager to hear about the BNE lounge... any news?

Cheers,

Misha (singed-eyebrows-free)

....by the way. Your new cleaner let your neighbour in for a cup of sugar whilst you have been away. :p

Back on topic, the withdrawal of Priority Pass, lack of status match and an unlikely opportunity to hit 3600 QF SC's in my next calendar year means I probably won't get to sample the DJ (VA?) lounges. Good news for you Virgin types I'd only lower the tone of what look like very nice lounges!

From what I hear his new cleaner has a lot of work to do! He even tried to employ me as one of his cleaning staff!

That is a lie. I offered you pocket money if you wanted to release some of that 'clean freak' tension out - just happened that my apartment was the ideal locale for such a stress-relieving session.

On another (off) topic: I would like to thank David-Au 2000 for my new avatar ... yes it has been used with his permission... if you can't lose the label - embrace it!

Seems QF isn't the only airline with industrial strife at the moment.
[h=1]Virgin Atlantic: Branson warns strike will leave "scar"[/h]

A strike by pilots at Virgin Atlantic would leave "an indelible scar on the company", founder Sir Richard Branson has warned.
His comments come before the Balpa union is due later this week to announce dates for industrial action, in a dispute over pay.
In a letter to the pilots, Sir Richard said he was "extremely sad" about the threat of strikes, and that he would be happy to meet them for private talks.
Cheers

Well my shuttle tickets are closer...

Had better turn up in Australia before Tuesday though ... Will be very unfortunate if they arrive after I've left for Orlando (where the tickets were sent from!).

Just a quick test to see if formatting and general layout, including smileys (emoticons) work on the Blackberry Playbook. :)

So far so good. Seems to be working better than the iPad.

Re: OOL Lounge

After the unfortunate toaster incident involving Misha, we've had to push back the opening of the remaining Lounge projects....

Humphf! I can really feel the love on this forum! :(

Am off to transfer all my loyalty to TT!!!

Perhaps VA could build a special little private lounge for me in my most common ports - this way everyone else is safe and don't have to be put up with my danger. Duty of Care covered for pax, and I am appeased ;)

No?... Oh well...

Back OT: Turns out I am flying to Brisbane next month - fingers crossed lounge is done by month's end :)

Slim chance Misha......by the way, I tried out the toastie toaster in SYD today...........great! Well done DJ, so simple, yet so appreciated. And I didn't burn anything! ;)

Re: OOL Lounge

You're welcome

Oh.......thanks mate :D

Without your attempted arson of the DJ lounge, we wouldn't have such a mod-con . I'm truly impressed by your raw intuition and go-get-it attitude .

Re: OOL Lounge

I have decided, since I'll be using the lounge once a week, I am the mayor of it. (National Anthem, Flag, currency and other important symbols are being chosen as we speak) I will decide where everything goes, and what food will be on the menu. If I see any rude behaviour, bogans or DYKWIAs they will be removed from the lounge faster than the air in a 747 with a hole in it.

Each membership year we will hold an election for the new mayor.

Okay? Good. Agreed.

And I didn't burn anything! ;)

Good. You are allowed in.
