Re: OOL Lounge

Good. You are allowed in.

humphf! i assume as this will be a constitutional monarchy (based on current status) that i will be queen... well... King!

Actually Crown Prince sounds so much younger - I'll stick with that. I'll have no powers, but be a figurehead - a symbolic role :)

Fine. As long as we all have a day off on your birthday. We will celebrate in the lounge!

All hail Mayor Liam (surname recently edited as no good polly wants to be known :D)

Alas, I must confess, I'm but a lowly silver (today was an unashamedly brash attempt at a status run to gold)........and I drained the last two bottles of SYD Lounge Sauv blanc. Truly a low act of which I'm justly proud ......:p

Chief magistrate, perhaps?

Re: OOL Lounge

so it shall be so - by royal decree.

my birthday is basically same as QE2's - so it's all good ;)
Well I share my birthday with Australian royalty well known for his sky high exploits on the kangaroo run.And cleaning up have just rediscovered the Boonie doll put out by VB a few years back!:)

At great risk of going on topic, the pizza in the SYD T3 J lounge might have been enhanced. They are serving round pizza, no none of the rectangular stuff to be seen. It's actually pretty good, even distribution to the edges on all pieces. but still avoid the crust the one bite I had was dry and stale tasting, the topped bit is good.

I noticed the round pizza the other day.

Definitely different to the square types (no "edge" pieces vs. "middle" ones and the pros and cons of each). Taste is fine. At peak times, it disappears in seconds, with most patrons taking more than two slices at a time (i.e. usually one of each flavour, and then some).

There's little runner text on the food description explaining how they create the pizzas. Rather long winded if you ask me - just make it taste good and cook it right! It's not as if all the kitchens in the JLs were fitted with a wood fire oven.... we ain't that stupid...

Got to love the end of school holidays (and other flights on the date between those cities are pretty much zero'd out too!

Finally a sale for LON-PER return on QF covering November! :D

900 quid return ; so about 150-200 more than my trip over in April/May but I'm guessing because it's high season I'm not likely to get much better on QF? Before the sale, I was looking at 1050-1100 return....

Yep, that sale is pretty decent. Received the email a couple of hours ago. BA also launched a sale today, but haven't looked into the details.

Doubt you'd find a better fare for November IMHO....

Start of a new financial year, a good way to start with a clean slate, although someone did point out to me I still have debtors that need to pay me.

So I have more money in the bank but less stock and I didn't make a profit last year, getting rid of some stock below cost didn't help. Hopefully I can make a profit this year, at least I am not paying so much bank interest, now if I just stop flying I could somehow pay off the house loan quicker.

Here is to a profitable and rewarding 2011/2012 financial year to everyone on AFF.

Price on a few things have gone up including the toll roads around Brisbane, and I still got a bit of work to do to finish off the accounts, so I should get off AFF now and do some work.
