Am I addicted much to my smart phone, so glad I brought myself a UK/European sim card, currently sitting on a BA767 in the middle of Heathrow waiting for some early fog to clear in Amsterdam. Flying time is 45 minutes, sitting on aircraft about 2.5 hours.
Legroom is nice on this BA767 compared to that of the Qantas domestic 737-800s which I dislike.
BA lounge had decent wifi.
Really nice fine day in London yesterday but it has returned to cloud Monday, weather in Amsterdam should be in balmy single digits.

Please ensure the weather in London is nice for us when we fly back next week :mrgreen:
Are street signs expensive in Queensland?
Really?Only the ones with the shot gun pellets riddle in them![]()
BTW, in FNQ they find it better to use pictures rather than words!
Really?
It makes it extremely difficult with a rental car and no GPS trying to work out instructions from Google maps. It would appear that only every second street has a street sign.
And the classi this morning was trying to get from Holiday Inn, Townsville to Townsville Golf Club. Google maps says to use Flinders St, Charters Towers Road and then Flinders Hwy. Unfortunately they are all Flinders Hwy and just before the golf course it also becomes Bowen Road which is not mentioned on Google maps. The same street has 4 different names in less than 5 kms!And if that is not enough Google maps says to turn left on Lindsay St and then right on Forrest St but one street further down Benson St literally goes right on to the entrance to the golf club.
I had the same problem in Mackay, Rockhampton and Gladstone to a lesser extent.
That is probably a good idea and these days a GPS is cheap. I still love to think that I can do without one even in unfamiliar places.I think thats a fairly typical phenomenon when driving in an unfamiliar location!
Maybe get a tomtom or another more accurate GPS device.

On another note I am quite impressed by Townsville. I don't know what it is but Townsville looks and feels nothing like other Queensland towns I have lived in and visited in the past 4 years. Perhaps it is the lack of ugly Queenslander homes but I like it.

Have done a bit of a lounge run today starting with the United Lounge in LAS (formeral CO's Presidents Club as no Admirals Club) courtesy of SO's Priority Pass. They didn't charge us the USD27.00 for the guest which was nice. Apparently the UA Lounge still have an agreement with PP & they actually scan your PP card which must have given them the okay.
Next was the Admirals Club at DFW where the 'D' Gates are. Now in MIA at the bigger of the two lounges because we thought it was closer to gate 43 but turns out we're going from gate 5 where there's another AA Lounge near D15. Will be leaving lounge in about 10 mins which is minus 45 as we have to hop on the skyrail back closer to our boarding gate for our flight to SJU.
SO's comments about the skyrail "this baby hammers". Can't upgrade any photos from the camera as that function is disabled from the AA pc.
Had to laugh at one senior citizen trying to board the last flight DFW/MIA when they called for "Priority Access" - she though they said "cardiac passengers". She could have been both actually as they didn't knock her back.
Bibi for now.![]()
