Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to everyone!

I’ve enjoyed (although sometimes found it hard) my absence from AFF. Given me time to focus on other things but not much was accomplished.

I took a trip to Longreach, Barcaldine and Winton over the Christmas period… my advice is to not go over Christmas, as everything shuts down up there… unless you like the peace and quiet and want to get away, well then it’s wonderful!!

Welcome back Sam, glad they didn't throw the book at you, and good that you remembered the password.

Thought you'd been a bit quiet,
Catch you in the F Lounge soon then ;)

Once Sam is back from all the flying then he won't have any money or points to actually enjoy the 1st lounge.:lol:

There are actually quite a lot of us here on AFF.

Is anyone else having problems trying to sign into their QF ff profile as I've tried both of ours but nothing happens as the name, ffn no & pin fields appear blank?

More aftershocks around Christchurch

Cantabrians Woken by Large Aftershock | Stuff.co.nz

Cantabrians suffered a swarm of significant aftershocks overnight, the largest a magnitude-5.5 striking shortly before 6am.

The 15km early morning shake took out power in some Christchurch homes and was felt as far afield as Dunedin.

Rattled awake, there was little chance of returning to sleep with a string of smaller shakes rapidly following. The largest, a mag-4.1 struck at 5.54am.

It followed a disrupted night for most in Christchurch.

At 1.27am a magnitude-5.1 quake at 15km deep rocked the city followed a few minutes later by a mag-4.3 at 12km deep.

At 2.20am a mag-3.5 at 20km deep hit, at 5.03am a mag-3.8 hit, just 8km deep.

The aftershocks were predominantly centred offshore, east of Christchurch in Pegasus Bay.

I was over there a few weeks ago, and walking around the CBD threw me a curve-ball emotionally. They now (or did) allow 200 people per hour on weekends the ability to walk through town and up to the old cathedral which mostly collapsed. Comparing the images I recall of various streets with what is there now, and seeing all the shops still closed up was interesting to say the least.

There's still a huge amount of work ahead.

Why do people store 1000's & 1000's of songs on their devices only to hear a decent song every few days?

A few hundred does me.....every song a winner:cool:
