What a 48 hours!
My son woke us up vomiting on Mon 1.30am and over the next 2 hours did what most sick kids do ... Cry and vomit.
Tues 6am it was my wife's turn - she had apparently been up since around midnight with nausea/churning stomach/gas. She has the day off work to look after my son (who had a day off childcare).
I thought my daughter and I had missed it, but it hit me (same symptoms as my wifes') at midday. Got home after picking up my daughter at after-school care at 6pm and couldn't take it any more - self administered vomiting. Still feeling sore (understandably) and indigestion/reflux still going now.
We were hoping that my daughter had missed it, but at 9.30pm just when are preparing for bed, she woke up sobbing, saying she felt sick in the stomach. I gave her some milk, hoping it would speed up the process (expecting it to curdle and aid in the quick rejection of the entire stomach contents) but I told her stories until she anazingly fell asleep and apart from whimpering a bit has stayed asleep. For the last two and a quarter hours I have been sitting by her bed, holding her, watching for the quick body reaction to one that is about to vomit but I can't stay up any longer - I am shattered.
Thank God for Lucozade (for the adults). No, I don't think any of us will be venturing out tomorrow.
Anybody else got this bug going around?
