Thinking that it is the rotavirus, it makes sense that my daughter wasn't affected as badly - she'd had the vaccination for it. Not sure if my son is old enough to have had the vaccination. Looks like my wife and I now have some antibodies. Hope they stick around, don't want that back anytime soon :o :p
Am pretty sure the vacs for rotavirus can be done at the 4 & 6 month age. I think Little Miss was around that age when we got her vaccinated??

Many friends (and myself) have been hit with this over the last week. It's a nasty one.
Is this viral or bacterial? It sounds like it is gastro-intensinal (which may mean I have already had it) and more than likely bacterial.

On a side note I never quite understood why it takes so long to administer flu shots in Queensland. Usually in NSW you would have the flu shot by end of March but in Queensland they do not think about it until mid to end April or May.

Yes I know the climate is a lot warmer but in a global society it makes sense to have it it earlier.

Unkind comment about Qld NSW relationships edited. Something about upstream issues & public health.

No sickness here. Just amazed to still be awake at 9.25 pm in LHR having arrived at 06.20 this morning and been at a conference all day. Matchsticks for the eyelids required ;)
OT the 65K points upgrade from J -F SYD-LHR on the A380 was totally worthwhile and probably accounting for me still being awake
Flying Syd-Lhr-Syd even in J in an 8 day time frame has "killed" me...in the 6 nights I was in London, I woke up every night between 3-4 am and had trouble falling back to sleep again; the last 2 nights back in Sydney, the same thing has happened:evil:. I hate this state of being half dazed at work....

You need to get on the Melatonin kpc ;)
Slept this morning until 0600 ( asleep by 2100-2130 last night) conference all day today, AFF'ers meet tonight and feel fine :D

I know the particular AFF'er is looking forward to the meeting, Princess Fiona. He has another one the following morning as well ;)

Brand new Amex card (replacement chipped Plat Reserve CC) arrived yesterday. Activated it yesterday, and already have used it for a signed transaction.
Go to use it on a regular merchant site I use today, denied. Tried again, denied. Used another card.

Wonder if I'll get a phonecall!

I think I might have to try melatonin...anything to break this vicious cycle. Where do you get your melatonin from Princess Fiona?

In the US I used to ask where could I find a chemist. Got some interesting replies until I worked out that a drug store, even though it sounds bad to me, is a better alternative to a chemist, who will be cooking something in the basement.

Or at a university, oops I mean college, or research laboratory.

Can I ask for a word of advice for a DONE5 from the AFFers in this thread - if you're doing a DONE5 (plus additional trips), is it best to keep your trip report to one thread and add to it, or keep on editing the original post in a thread? I'm about to embark on JNB-BCN-AMM-DME-MAD-LIS-GLA-MAN-LHR-SYD-LHR-CDG-MAD-BOS-YYZ-BOS-DFW-ABQ-DFW-SEA-ORD-SFO-MIA-JFK-NRT-HKG-AKL-SYD-JNB with a few more road trips in between and a break in SYD in the middle, but I've never written a trip report for any of my mileage runs to SJU or my DONE4s before.
