Yay! Bring on "Smartgate" :D

At least renewal is rather easier than a new application.
And what will replace "Smartgate" when everyone who has no clue about travel, or life in general, has to use it?

It's the gate that is smart, not the people that use it, right?:)

Note to self.... stop excelling in your work when in a small team, you will be loaded up with more when others fail to deliver

It seems that the people over at XDA have ripped the Flipboard APK off the Galaxy S III and now people can download it for their other Android devices.

Flipboard for Android leaks, here's how you can get it - Tech2.com -

So .. what use is it?

Edit: for those who don't know... here 'tis
If you're not familiar with Flipboard, the application basically acts as a news and article gatherer based on your preferences. The app was originally launched for the iPad in 2010 and came to the iPhone in December of last year. Originally, Flipboard allowed you to save 9 publications to the app's homescreen and you were presented with articles from those nine apps. Then Flipboard updated to provide you with stories based on your preferences of subjects and also by scanning through your tweets and Facebook posts, if you let it.

Exactly.

Had 1 person in front of me the other day in SYD and it took around 1 minute to get through. From memory there are 4 Smartgate machines in SYD so unless more are installed the queues will get longer and once you get someone who does not know how to use machine it will slow processing down.

I don’t have a chipped passport yet so you can bet I’ll be slowing you down in the future… one day! :p

I bet the deadlines haven't moved either (or have been brought in earlier), even though the dynamics of person-hours has changed dramatically.

Yep, free enterprise and increasing higher management disconnect is a PITA in that regard.

I'd like to say it's an unfortunate reality that people have to keep in mind, but it's actually really depressing that we have to tell our kids not to do the best they can because they'll be unfairly taken advantage of.

EDIT: What do you know... I found it, case in point: http://www.bgolden.com/oso/little-red-hen.htm (the modern version, of course)

Colds and flu cutting a path through our office in Sydney this past week - cold nights? Succumbed today myseld PITA

Cold? Sydney? I've been sitting in the office with the fan in all week. Advantage of living in a dry climate, even a small amount of humidity feels hot, damn hot.

Not such a bad thing, good way to prove myself in my new role! ;) Bring it on:!:

Warning: do not feed the workaholic.

And that is where the flu shot comes in very handy. Have been having them since 1999 and have only come down with the flu 3 times since.

For someone that used to come down 3-4 times every year it is a remarkable turnaround and I do not miss the inconvenience....

With Sydney expecting a maximum of 29 degrees today it is going to be like a summers day that never happened this summer just gone. It is time to get outside and enjoy it and maybe stop thinking the next vehicle to buy here needs to be a Noah's Ark with optional wheels.

Stupid question time; should there be a time limit to like posts. A new thread that came up just before has reminded me of a thread from 2011 and there is a post from that thread that I thought was well written but I am wondering whether it is too late to like a post.:?::idea:

Yesterday at SYD T3, there was a car and a motorbike on display in the central temrinal area. It was amusing watching the number of middle aged business men ogling the bike...

If anybody has missed this, this is one of the most astonishing politic attacks of all time!

I'm just glad the unfounded accusation that Abbott tapped someone on the bottom in 1979 is finally getting some public scrutiny.
