Can somebody please help me find the very long thread discussing the removal of Qantas Club members' access to BA lounges at LHR?

If you're an IT business analyst, please look away now....

Stupid IT dept making decisions on whats best for us, without even consulting us, asking for our opinions, asking us to evaluate or offer alternatives. I can't help but wonder what ulterior motives they have. They have just mandated use of a particular software package, that in my discipline is *known* for its failings more than its offerings.
As one of my managers said, "just because it uses electrons, they think they own it".....I am certain once upon a time IT was a support function..
My work gripes are of a far less technical nature today today.
Last night I took some colleagues out for dinner and a few cheeky pints (er... of water ). I'm a little bit disappointed that my colleague who is 10 years my junior, drunk less than me, and went home before me has decided to call in sick today... Kids these days *shakes head*
I'm getting it all wrong. I have had a shocking cold (man flu I'm told!) since I go back from the UK last week and am taking a couple of days annual leave to get over it.:?:

Thats terrible. The yoof of today. Don't they know sick days aren't really for being sick?
Good lord!
What dastardly stuff was in the pints of water??!

Hmmm... interesting. At times it works the over way around, viz. the IT department given an unreasonable target with minimal resources and yet expected to make the mythical lever that can move the world.
I worked with a guy once, who called in sick after a work dinner (on a Tuesday night) and blamed bad seafood. I had the same seafood so it made me wonder why I was there answering the phone.

Thats even worse then taking it as sick leave! No no what you should do is walk into work, and meet with as many people as possible.. You're doing the whole office a favour by just showing up afterall!
First it was the Department of Homeland Security, then it was the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and now the Social Security Administration is set to purchase 174,000 rounds of hollow point bullets that will be delivered to 41 locations across the country.
