I hate charges where you want something that a vendor can't provide online.

Virgin Mobile (I have prepaid broadband with them) want to charge me $5.50 for a listing of online top-ups done over a year. Their online portal only shows the last 5 recharges or three months worth.

Just need the figures to compare with my receipts etc.

The crazy thing is that I'm sure the staff time involved with creating the bill and paying it probably costs them $5!

can someone tell me why my question in "your questions" which has had at least one reply doesnt show up in "new posts" - its an hour old ?

cheers

I can see it: http://www.australianfrequentflyer....uestions/through-check-interlining-42415.html

Probably doesn't appear in New Posts for you as you've already read it - thus it isn't a New post to you.
As Mal posted - if it did, there would be an issue.

If you want to see it, use today's posts, or go to the actual sub forum.

I cannot for the life of me work out how people who cannot/do not know how to manage make a career out of it and get paid handsomely for the privilege.

I am of course referring to my workplace but it is evident everywhere you go.

All it takes is one idiot to hire another idiot, and the cycle will go on and on...

I once had a boss whose only skill, from what I could tell, was negotiating excellent severance packages including the good reference required for the next job. They get caught in the end, but the cycle seems to be about three years:

Year One - "Well He/She must be evaluating the business and what needs to be done"
Year Two - "He/She came with a good reference so let's see what these changes will bring us"
Year Three - "OK how do we get him/her out of the business so that we don't look like idiots for employing him/her?"

I wonder where QF is with Clifford and Joyce? Beyond that I suspect and in denial!!!

Today must be international Paypal scam day. Apparently I have 11 people trying to deposit a total of US$5603 into my Paypal account.

But Tony, that's almost a J return to UK, surely you want them to pay you :o ;)

In other news, watch this girl - Shiane Hawke on X-Factor. Made the hairs on my arms stand up - damn, she has a voice. Juts a pity it's X-Factor, I just couldn't watch it...but I loved the backpeddling some of the judges had to do after the performance - the looks on their faces just before she sung (see 2:20 and 2:30)...priceless! At least one of them had the balls to admit their mistake (at 6:30).

It has been longer than that in my situation.

They just lump everything in the too hard basket.

No problem if you have no idea what you are doing? Your job is safe. We will simply get the department to deliver more to cover your defficiency.

No problem if you are not focused on work. Your job is safe. We will just put procedures in place to help you focus more.

No problem if time management and throughput is your issue. Your job is safe. We will simply get the department to increase throughput to cover your defficiency.

Seriously what is wrong with naming and shaming? I hate being lumped in the same group as the ones that have no hope. Or is it more a fact that if they name and shame then they look bad as these are the recent hirings?

Lindsay Wilson, I avoid these shows like the plague, because in my very limited experience of watching them the performers are either not very good, or ruin any potential goodness by indulging in the unnecessary (and dreadful sounding) vocal gymnastics that seem to be in vogue these days.

But curiosity enticed me to follow your link and this girl is indeed very good, especially for a 14yo. Extremely good in fact. And seems a nice unaffected girl to boot. Good luck to her, and may she go on to bigger and better things (and avoid silly vocal gymnastics).
