Ouch. I'd offer to help, but I'm a bit too far from where you are today !!!!

Once you get it back can you post the good news here and or on Facebook. Thanks.

Spoke to the cab driver and he's going to drop it back to the hotel around 1pm (who should be expecting it, I spoke with Reception this morning). I'll then swing by and hopefully pick it up on my way home tonight. Fingers crossed.

A little OT for this thread. I believe that it's how a business deals with complaints that defines them. In this case the IC Seoul COEX has excelled itself. I checked in late yesterday evening ( a little hot but put it down to a long flight) and upon returning to my room this evening discovered it to be stinking hot (28.4C) despite a redundant loyalty card having been left in the card slot all day to operate the AC. An engineer was dispatched who couldn't identify a problem, then the duty Manager appeared and after ( I think) nearly fainting with the heat escorted me to a better and cooler room.
Returned to my room after the conference reception this evening to find

Ok I'll admit it I can be bought cheaply

OK, the hotel has just called and they now have it. T-5 hours till I go and pick it up!

When you get it back, I think you should consider sewing it to yourself :p

Just kidding. You can't sew. (just kidding again!)

Just pondering what I should leave for the guy. Is cash too gawdy? A box of chocolates?

Now, this is assuming of course everything is there in one piece ;)

Actually, that's a good point to keep in mind (serious side here).

I'd also watch all your accounts connected to the cards etc. for a while.

I'm not sure about in England, but in Australia a good measure of alcohol of some description would suffice. Choccies - maybe, if the bloke is married.

Maybe throw in an extra tip for his trouble.

Luckily only my ING Orange Everyday account card was in there (as it was only my travel wallet, e.g holds all my loyalty cards, passport, tickets, etc.) which had a zero balance anyway. May cancel and get it re-issued just to be sure. Don't think any of the other cards were anything to worry about, but can check all that once I get it back.....

Happy to report its all back with me now and everything is there. Good people do really exist in the world :-)

Fantastic. I would have left cash (at least half the fare from airport to hotel). Cash rarely offends.

I did indeed. Left an amount I think he will be happy with :) (double the original fare to the hotel, thought that was reasonable considering what it would have cost me for replacements given I have to travel overseas next week!)

Yep a good amount. He will be happy and you will be happy. Happy ending for all.
