The totally off-topic thread

It would appear good Karma came from it. I had the lounge all to myself, even so when the cleaning lady came in, she brought me over an assortment of snacks and got me a drink! Nice! On the train and also have the entire F carriage to myself. I could get used to this  A good end to what started out as a somewhat 'off' day.

Indeed Major.

And the icing on the cake.. the toilet onboard the train would have to be the cleanest I've ever seen (clarification: for a train)

I thought there is a separate thread about toilets, this is the TOTT. ;)

Thanks for the updates.

I have to say it was a replacement for the sandpaper QF passes off as toilet roll......mmmmm....maybe a bit too much info there.

:p

Sent from the "First Class" lounge near gate 3 at XMN

Well I for one am glad we got to the bottom of it.

I am wondering where I heard this statement. Not sure if it was AFF.

"If the answer is Jetstar then the question was wrong!"....

Wondering if its only me that makes a meal out of the Exec Lounge canapes /offerings when I'm lazy, nothing organised and tired?
Currently enjoying my nibbles and bubbly in the IC Club :D

Common place thing I think you'll find, pending on quality!

Definitely.

Mind you, it's more like raiding your fridge at home or making a meal out of seminar refreshments... the latter, you know, the 'cheap' ones that just put out sandwiches, a platter of fruit and, if you're lucky, perhaps a supermarket-grade cheese platter and cake platter.

Some years ago I made an evening meal of of some very nice Felafel and dips (amongst other tasty morsels) at the Cairns Hilton lounge ... It was accidental as I intended to go out ... in the end I was replete

Nothing unusual at all, I've been known to have whole trips eating only airline/hotel exec lounge food. A good breakfast and small dinner is enough to get me through.

I just wanted to say a very public thanks to Simo for valuable advice and ( late night ) assistance last night

Mrs GPH had her iPhone stolen in starbucks in Barcelona last night. After getting nowhere with Telstra call centre, Simo gave me sage advice, the right number and in 3 minutes flat had it all sorted.

Big thanks mate, the beers are one when next we meet ( and we will need a new phone )

It is I, Leclerc !

Good to hear that you've got it sorted.

Barcelona seems to be the Westernmost point in Europe for prime pickpocketing. Heard waaaay too many stories of people getting stuff stolen from them whilst in Barcelona.

its also worth noting, for a police report you need your imie ( is that correct spelling?) numer as well, so had to wait till i came into office to get it to her
