Any flight delays tonight?

MU5266 looks as though it will be leaving BHY on time!! Problem is it doesn't get into PVG until after 10PM, and my standard room at the Hilton has just been upgraded to an Executive Panarama Suite. (I'll get a whopping 7 hours to enjoy it :()

Has anyone heard of "Smoked Salmon Pastrami" ? It's on offer tonight at the Millennium Hilton Seoul Exec lounge and looks and tastes like regular smoked salmon ;)

Are you sure it just not old dried out smoked salmon -and they are calling it "pastrami" !!!!!!!!

There's just been a last call for "happy hour" at the Exec Lounge ( It runs from 5.30-8.30) and have just seen the staff open a new bottle of Chandon :D
Perhaps the coughpy room I was given with no upgrade isn't so bad after all

At least you are travelling.

I am grounded this weekend. :(

Has someone got any ideas what is going on? Optus Mobile broadband and the past 3 weeks or so I have been having intermittent service and constantly having to disconnect and connect again. I also get the following error message multiple times every night.

Network error said:
Windows has detected an IP Address conflict

Another computer on this network has the same IP address as this computer. Contact yor network administrator for help resolving this issue. More details are available in the Windows System event log.

Are you running a switch or router as well as the mobile broadband device. That may be the conflict.

Is your PC network settings DNS set to 'aquire DNS automatically'? I think it should be, but I have been using a Mac for a few years so can't remember the exact wording.

I get this every so often, especially when turning on a new computer. But that is from a wireless router and I could be running 5 to 7 devices depending on if the phones are connected to the wireless and the kids ipods. It especially seems to affect the netbook. A simple matter of renewing the lease. I might have guessed that you only have 1 or 2 devices connecting so it seems a bit strange. Can you set a fixed IP.

Oh and I'm really not sure if my situation is even relevant to mobile broadband.

Very simple. Just dongle attached. No network.

I checked today. Automatically acquire not fixed.

Have you tried ringing the Optus help line? Or will that suggestion cause much laughter from those who have in the past?
Haven't called them yet.

I was going to try the dongle on my newer laptop in Sydney but forgot to do it last week. Something in the back of my mind tells me it may well be the Vista laptop that has the issues not the dongle but I do not know very much about all this stuff.

Enjoy the dinner, and good luck with the weather tomorrow.

Met a fellow AFFer by chance on AA DFW-LAX on Thursday night. They are more of a lurker these days, but with words like "280 Status credits for these flights" and "instant upgrade" mentioned, we realised we were both keen FF geeks.
Lovely to meet you, 4A on AA 2477.

Wonder if the ladies in 3 (E&F???) are also on AFF? 4 Aussies in the F cabin that I could hear.

Thanks AFF. It's 27 Oct, and I have earnt 830 SCs since my year started on 1 Oct. 370 to retain WP (& one more squiggle, thanks to having to re-book flights). :) :)
