Not a lot, but I like the 4 comp upgrades flexi -> business. Use them to go to Perth.
That would be good value going to Perth.

I have done the ones on the East Coast and I see no added value in paying $139-$189 for a flexible airfare to upgrade a ~1 hr flight.

The difference between the 100% Platinum status bonus compared to the 75% Gold status bonus to me is negligible. Something like 5,000 Velocity points which are not worth very much.

Am I missing anything really important? It seems like a waste to go from 400SCs to 1,000SCs for what appears to be very little benefit.

Each to their own ... 2 4 UC's if used Transcontinental IMHO are great value.

I think the end of the 2 session was the end for me. I've tried watching a bit of the 3rd session but I've lost it.

I was upset at the second series ending, but it does get better and engage you with the story later. It is a bit like the Sopranos, someone goes, someone else fills the void. Plus their are a few threads running in Boardwalk. Currently I like Revolution, which is set in post apocalyptic world without electricity.

Matchbox Twenty! (Plus INXS and Evermore).

Pleased with my seat!

I know it's on topic but... I have a DJ booking on Sunday. MEL-OOL-MEL on seperate bookings with 45min between. Can I be sure the aircraft going up will be the same going down? Should have checked first!

I agree that if you were already going to Perth then the Upgrade credits are great value.

But would you spend the money to get from 400SCs to 1000SCs just for that benefit?

An op up of sorts? Usher took me to the wrong seat. My correct seat is actually better :)

Anecdotally based on two flights this weekend - Yes.

However I wouldn't bet any money on it...

Just had a day trip for work. LGW-AMS-LGW. Was hoping to get at least an hour to do my own thing but ended up doing taxi-airport-train-taxi-office-taxi-train-airport-taxi with about 5 mins in the lounge going out and 10 mins in the lounge going back. One of those days..... anyone else find this usually happens? It didn't help that I had 2x late taxi drivers (considerably late ). At least the final taxi of the day was early and I got home in good time!

Depends on the trip - some are very rushed (like that example), and on some trips I can sneak a few minutes/hours for myself.

That being said, it's almost midnight here, had a glass of vin blanc to de-stress so off to bed now - conf call at 7am (you bloody Aussies ;)) so straight back into it  Maybe next time!

Going to 3 Tattinger Comtes de Champagne parties in a 2 week period is probably overkill... yes/no??

Yesterday by serendipity got to fly on a QF birds last commercial flight-747 OJQ-SYD-LAX.Next stop Mojave Desert.
