was going to go to fukuoka myself

Had you tried that I think you would have been hosed. (There are no one-flight-number routes from EWR to cough. Sheesh, what a IATA code....)

EWR-FCO, both AZ and CO

Aren't AZ under six layers of lasagna by now (so to speak)? Unless the Italian government has decided to throw them another bone...

Anyway, see how this pans out....

FCO (Rome-Fiumicino)-GVA (Geneva-Cointrin), AZ576

and because I'm on a roll and know the next one:

Fuhlsbuettel Arpt, Hamburg, DE (HAM) to Innsbruck (INN),
Austrian Airlines OS0277

Nice one LW.

But please observe the rules next time and not post twice in a row. :p

(I know: retort = "have you got a better one?", my answer = (sheepish) "no...")

Hmmm, the only other I is Interlaken (that I could think of in Europe) and it was worse...

NM, howabout Jeddah (JED) ?

Innsbruck (INN) to Jeddah (JED) on OS 914/OS895 (or aren't connecting flights allowed)...

Ahhh, now I've read the rules, specifically the first and last points. Sorry:oops:. Okay, take it back to HAM

NM, haven't you heard of Jeddah (JED) ?

Innsbruck (INN) to Jeddah (JED) on OS 914/OS895 (or aren't connecting flights allowed)...

Nope, not allowed (next city must be within one flight number only). I think NM's post (see below this one) hits the nail on the head - even restricting to one-flight-change options may make this game too easy. Then again, if we get a good run on this version of the game perhaps we can try for a change of rules and allow one connection but then shoot for maximum mileage.........

This current run: AMS-BOS-CUN-DEN-EWR-FCO-GVA-HAM-INN-.... (cactus?)

If we've hit another dead end, someone propose the next start city starting with A. Otherwise, someone's gotta find a one-flight connection to a city with IATA codes starting with J.

Personally I was going to go GVA-HEL, but then I wouldn't know where to go for I (let alone J...)

We're progressively getting better! (Up to I this time)

Plenty of options if connections are allowed, even the likes of JFK. But I was assuming it had to be a direct flight.

Nup. If the cycle gets broken we start again.

Last run: AMS (Amsterdam) - BOS (Boston) - CUN (Cancun) - DEN (Denver) - EWR (Newark) - FCO (Rome) - GVA (Geneva) - HAM (Hamburg) - INN (Innsbruck) - .... cactus

You could propose the next A city in the next run.

Rather than starting agian from A, how about Lindsay starts us from a new I or J location and go on from there?

Nope. Start from A again. 'Tis the rules.

Yes I know, I'm being a b**tard. :p
