Wife requires extra storage (lots) for her ipad. Seems like wifi HDD, Seagate or Kingston are the only options? Has anyone had experience with these wifi products? Any other suggestions?

2 drinks for me last night in VA. Second one was a coke as I was driving. But someone else had a second beer.

Nibali's performance last night was just awesome.Have to have a major problem to lose it now.
Only 3 more early mornings to go!

On the tourmelet and all. Flat stage (meh), time trial and Paris to come. Only one stage left for me. But might check out some of the time trial.

Yes it is. About 100Gb of music plus the various apps for iPad and iPhone, and the odd video takes me to about 150Gb. So 128Gb is not quite big enough.

The price has dropped a bit since I started looking (from $300+), so it is getting to the point where I can justify the expense.

I have used the Seagate home storage NAS for the last few years. It works well with TimeMachine on the Mac, and I can access it remotely should I choose. HOWEVER! I haven't been able to access it recently, and think there may be a problem with the HDD. I have to do some more investigating before I can be sure. I am hoping it is a network issue.

So remember to backup the backup if it is critical. I keep a separate HDD at work so am not too put out if it is a HDD failure - but I hope it isn't.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but is it possible to access files on your USB stick from your ipad? I didn't think it is possible.

The JB hifi site needs some geography lessons.Went to pick up in store. They have a store at Kawana just up the road.So put Kawana 4575 to search for store and it tells me the nearest store is in Rockhampton and the next is Kotara,Newcastle.
Mrsdrron did it first and it gives her a choice of Chermside and number 2 is Gawler,SA.

I can pick up from Kotara for you :)

Yes in truth I will probably not stay up all night tonight as should not be major changes in the GC.Though if the scenery is nice....
Will watch the time trial as that will certainly sort out who else will be on the podium.
For the last stage I will just watch the replay as the only good part is usually on the Champs Elysee.

I don't use an iPad and I don't think they have USB slots

I haven't gone back to check but the USB is to store the iTunes library IIRC. That is accessed via iTunes on a computer (which does have usb), AFAIK

What sort of threshold? Money wise?

Medicare safety net, basically I've spent so much on medical care this year already, that I now get more back from them when I claim that I did before, because I've hit a limit.

Once you reach the relevant threshold, the Medicare Safety Net may provide a higher Medicare benefit for all eligible services for the rest of the calendar year. This may mean that visits to your doctor or having tests could cost you less. For example, once you reach the relevant threshold, you still pay the same amount upfront to your doctor, however you may receive a higher Medicare benefit, making your out of pocket expenses much less.

Thanks Sam. I thought you were referring to the safety net. My parents reached theirs a few weeks ago.

I never get close which I guess is a good thing.

Quite right. Laptop does not have quite the storage I need, hence the (compact) memory stick to store the library.

I take HLO seriously!

Theirs are probably lower (and combined) if they're pensioners. Likewise as I've got a health care card my limit is lower.

Just been informed that the OOL lounge closes at 1350 and reopens at 1640. Hope my flight isn't delayed further.

Is there nothing similar to these for iphones? I have them for my android devices:

Micro-USB to USB OTG Adapter Cable

And last time time I was in HK I picked up this (but they are available easily anywhere now):

Was just looking around AFF and noticed I pass the 10 year mark on AFF:

So 1 week past 10 years.

I note that QF WP, drron and Straitman have been here longer.

Well also my anniversary in July-an even dozen.
There would be a few longer here than I.
