Immigration. Submitted application for spouse visa and then went to submit sponsorship form but stuck on page 4/18. Maybe need to wait until $7000 payment confirmed. Called to try and get clarification. Got down to 85th in queue and then hung up and called again and phone system overloaded saying call back at another time.

You wouldn't want to do anything urgent. Skimping on call centre staff is an epidemic out of control. Take money off executive salaries and restore call centres.

That's lovely, but I wish on-line stores say what material things are made of. I don't buy if they don't. For the price I'm guessing that it is not silk(?) It says only 3 left in stock.

AND, it's in USD ... for the Aussie Army.

This one is almost identical to the one my SIL purchased for me from France on the Western Front - so for me, very authentic.

I understand but would be nice for a change to trim the fat cats and leave the useful services in place.

And yes I have left things a little late yet again but should still be able to get some service without waiting hours. Oh and no email support.

Oh and it would be nice if it was just $7000. Could be a lot closer to $10000 if not more by the time we are finished.

Another difficult situation! Department Secretaries don't get that much compared to their counterparts in the private sector. Now there's an element of influence and power that comes from being a Secretary, but we need to attract the right people. If we only paid $100K a year we probably wouldn't be buying the same expertise we get for $500K a year. And directors under that very senior level don't get huge bucks.

Sad to hear that Connie Johnson has just passed away. She has been in the hospice for quite a while after ceasing chemo and other treatment, Far too young.
